Most European mic stands use a narrower clip mount with a smaller thread size. As a result, many mic manufacturers include a little insert inside their mic clips and shock mounts. These inserts are normally slotted so that you can unscrew them with a flathead screwdriver or even a coin. If your mic clip or shock mount doesn’t seem to thread onto your mic stand, try removing the adapter as shown below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
