Note: When updating receiver firmware, update transmitters to the same firmware version to ensure consistent operation.<\/p>\n

Updating the Receiver<\/h3>\n

Note: always make sure that power and network connections are maintained during a firmware update. Do not turn off the power to your unit until the update is complete.<\/p>\n

  1. Connect the computer and the receiver to the same network.<\/li>\n
  2. Open the Shure Update Utility<\/a>.<\/li>\n
  3. Click on the firmware tab to find available updates, or use the Import button if manually importing firmware files.<\/li>\n
  4. Click the Update Device <\/strong>tab and check the version to install box next to each device.<\/li>\n
  5. Click Send Updates <\/strong>to load the firmware to the networked devices.<\/li>\n
  6. When the download is complete, the receiver will reboot with the updated firmware installed.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Updating the Transmitter<\/h3>\n

    When the firmware is downloaded to the receiver, it includes firmware updates for the transmitter. Updated firmware is passed from the receiver to the transmitter using the sync port.<\/p>\n

    1. Press Menu <\/strong>while holding the Enter <\/strong>button to access the advanced menu. Use the Menu button to navigate to the Update <\/strong>menu.<\/li>\n
    2. Press Enter <\/strong>to start the update.<\/li>\n
    3. When the red IR LED flashes, align the receiver and transmitter IR sync ports. The Red LED will remain illuminated to indicate correct alignment and the download will automatically start.<\/li>\n
    4. Maintain alignment during the update and monitor the download progress (0 – 100%) on the receiver screen.<\/li>\n
    5. When the update is complete, “TX Update good” will be shown on the receiver display.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
