If you’re having trouble with your Maschine and you can’t get the lights to come on, you’re in the right place! To fix this, we are going to first verify that you have installed the latest version of Maschine software. If this doesn’t fix the issue, then we will download and install Native Instruments’ Controller Editor. Verify Your Maschine Software<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

If you find that your Maschine remains dark after connecting it to your computer, disconnect the Maschine and verify that you have installed the latest version of the Maschine software. To do this, visit the Native Instruments Service Center<\/a> under the Maschine Controller<\/strong> section.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Note: <\/strong>If you are on Windows, be sure you have installed the latest driver as well. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Native Instruments Controller Editor<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

If your Maschine software is up to date but it is still not coming to life, there may be an issue with the Native Instruments hardware service installed on your system. To verify this, you will need to launch the Controller Editor, a tool that allows your Maschine to become a MIDI remote control, making it a great resource for both studio recording and live sound projects. To find the Controller Editor, take a look below for both Mac and Windows users.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mac: <\/strong>Macintosh HD > Applications > Native Instruments > Controller Editor<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Windows: <\/strong>C: > Program Files > Native Instruments > Controller Editor<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you receive an error message when attempting to launch the Controller Editor, you will need to download and install the latest version of Controller Editor. To do this, follow the steps below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Download and Install Controller Editor<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
  1. Download the latest version of the Controller Editor<\/a>.<\/li>
  2. Disconnect all NI controllers and restart your computer.<\/li>
  3. Quit all running audio applications and install the latest Controller Editor version.<\/li>
  4. Restart your computer and then connect your Maschine. It should start correctly now.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
