{"id":1725695,"date":"2015-08-07T14:03:59","date_gmt":"2015-08-07T14:03:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.sweetwater.com\/sweetcare\/?post_type=articles&#038;p=1725695"},"modified":"2015-08-07T14:03:59","modified_gmt":"2015-08-07T14:03:59","slug":"my-focusrite-scarlett-interface-will-not-connect-to-my-pc-with-an-intel-celeron-processor","status":"publish","type":"articles","link":"https:\/\/www.sweetwater.com\/sweetcare\/articles\/my-focusrite-scarlett-interface-will-not-connect-to-my-pc-with-an-intel-celeron-processor\/","title":{"rendered":"My Focusrite Scarlett interface will not connect to my PC (with an Intel Celeron processor)."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Focusrite has been made aware of an issue between their Scarlett range of interfaces and the following CPUs:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Celeron N2815<\/li>\n<li>Celeron N2820<\/li>\n<li>Celeron N2830<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Symptoms may include incessant chiming sound and notification that the device is being connected and disconnected.<\/p>\n<p>Here is their statement on the matter:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"p1\">We have determined that this is due to a power mismatch between the audio interface and the power supply seemingly used with the above CPUs, effecting how the interface behaves under certain conditions.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">If you are running a PC with one of the above chipsets, we would recommend using a powered USB hub in order to resolve the issue.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Below are some powered USB hubs we have tested as working, other powered hubs may work but have not been tested at this time, testing a hub before you purchase is always preferable if possible.
