On the Alesis DM10 module, each pad has three different settings that can be adjusted: Sensitivity, Threshold, and ReTrigger. Follow the instructions below to learn how to adjust each parameter:<\/p>\n

Sensitivity<\/h3>\n

This setting determines how sensitive the trigger will be in relation to how hard you hit the drum pad. Increasing sensitivity will cause the trigger to have a higher response with lighter hits.<\/p>\n

  1. From the main screen, press\u00a0EXT TRIG\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n
  2. Use the CURSOR<\/b>\u00a0buttons to highlight the Input field<\/li>\n
  3. Use the\u00a0VALUE\/TEMPO\u00a0<\/strong>dial to choose the trigger you want to adjust<\/li>\n
  4. Use the\u00a0CURSOR\u00a0<\/strong>buttons to highlight the\u00a0Sensitivity<\/strong> field<\/li>\n
  5. Ue the\u00a0VALUE\/TEMPO<\/strong> dial to increase or decrease the sensitivity of the affected trigger<\/li>\n
  6. Press the\u00a0DRUM KIT\u00a0<\/strong>button to return to the main screen<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Threshold<\/h3>\n

    The Threshold setting determines the minimum amount of force needed to cause the trigger to respond. As you increase the threshold, you will need more force for the trigger to respond at all.<\/p>\n

    2. Use the\u00a0CURSOR\u00a0<\/strong>buttons to highlight the Input field<\/li>\n
    3. Use the\u00a0VALUE\/TEMPO\u00a0<\/strong>dial to choose the trigger you want to adjust<\/li>\n
    4. Press\u00a0F2 TRIG<\/strong><\/li>\n
    5. Use the\u00a0CURSOR\u00a0<\/strong>buttons to highlight the\u00a0Threshold<\/strong> field<\/li>\n
    6. Use the\u00a0VALUE\/TEMPO\u00a0<\/strong>dial to increase or decrease the Threshold setting of the affected trigger<\/li>\n
    7. Press the\u00a0DRUM KIT\u00a0<\/strong>button to return to the main screen<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      ReTrigger<\/h3>\n

      This setting adjusts how quickly the trigger will respond to repeated hits. A higher setting will eliminate any hits immediately after the first intentional hit, and a lower setting will allow successive hits to come through. This is useful if you need to eliminate accidental hits, or if the trigger is not responding fast enough to quick playing.<\/p>\n

      4. Press\u00a0F2 TRIG<\/strong><\/li>\n
      5. Use the\u00a0CURSOR\u00a0<\/strong>buttons to highlight the\u00a0ReTrigger\u00a0<\/strong>field<\/li>\n
      6. Use the\u00a0VALUE\/TEMPO\u00a0<\/strong>dial to increase or decrease the ReTrigger setting of the affected trigger<\/li>\n
      7. Press the\u00a0DRUM KIT\u00a0<\/strong>button to return to the main screen<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        Once you’ve made any adjustments to your settings, be sure to save them so they will be retained when you turn off your DM10.
