From the MPX16 User Manual:<\/p>\n

You can use MPX16 to trigger your own samples instead of the ones in MPX16’s internal sample library, but make sure your files and SD card are formatted correctly for MPX16 to use.<\/p>\n

Load the sample files onto an SD card (sold separately) by doing one of the following:<\/p>\n

    \n
  • inserting an SD card into MPX16’s SD Card Slot, and then use MPX16 an SD card reader (see Using MPX16 as an SD Card Reader to learn how to do this). After that, use the MPX File Conversion Utility (downloadable for free at akaipro.com\/mpx16).<\/li>\n
  • using a third-party SD card reader.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Please note the following (especially if you do not use the MPX File Conversion Utility):<\/p>\n

      \n
    • The samples files must be 16-bit, mono or stereo WAVs. They can have a sample rate of 48, 44.1, 32, 22.05, or 11.205 KHz.<\/li>\n
    • The sample files must be located in the root (main) directory of the card and not in any subdirectories.<\/li>\n
    • You can use an SD card or SDHC card with a capacity up to 32 GB.<\/li>\n
    • We recommend formatting your SD card to a FAT32 file system (if it is not already) and\n

      naming your sample files according to this format. This means:<\/li>\n

    • Do not use any of these characters: ” * \/ \\ : < > ? |<\/li>\n
    • Do not use spaces.<\/li>\n
    • Limit your file name to 8 characters, if possible.<\/li>\n
    • Up to 512 files can be stored in the root directory of the card.<\/li>\n
    • You can assign up to 48 MB worth of samples onto MPX16’s pads at a time (the sample library on your SD card can be larger, of course). Also, please note that a sample’s size will be rounded up when loaded (e.g., a 2.1 MB sample on the SD card will be treated as a 3 MB sample when it is assigned to a pad).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":0,"template":"","categories":[1],"tags":[67197,34329,60810,34850,76966,73577],"storecat":[],"itemids":[65747],"manufacturers":[33166],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\t\n
