Make sure you&#8217;re not connected to a USB hub that has other things connected to it. This will cause connection issues.<\/li>\n<li>Try opening up Live Preferences. In the <b>MIDI\/Sync <\/b>preferences section, open the <b>Control Surfaces drop-down menu<\/b> and select &#8220;<b>None<\/b>&#8221; for Push. After that, re-select Push to restart the Control Scripts that Push requires to run.<\/li>\n<li>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">If you still can&#8217;t get your Push to connect and your on a Mac, verify that your computer is recognizing the Push by clicking the <b>Apple logo<\/b> at the top left corner of your screen and selecting <b>About This Mac<\/b>. In the window that pops up, click <b>More Info<\/b>, then <b>System Report<\/b>. From there, select <b>USB<\/b>. You should see the Push in the listing. If it is there, open<b> Audio MIDI Setup<\/b> from <b>Applications &gt; Utilities<\/b>. Click the <b>Window menu<\/b> at the top and select <b>Show MIDI Window<\/b> if it is not already open. Next, click the drop down menu for <b>Configuration<\/b> and select <b>New configuration<\/b>. Follow the steps to add Push as a new MIDI device.<img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter\" title=\"New Configuration\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn2-resources.ableton.com\/resources\/filer_thumbnails\/2014\/01\/31\/osxnewconfig.png__584x218_q85.png\" alt=\"MIDI Setup New Configuration\" width=\"584\" height=\"218\" \/><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">If you&#8217;re running Windows and you still can&#8217;t get the Push to connect, open the <b>Control Panel<\/b> from the <b>Start Menu<\/b> and select <b>Device Manager<\/b>. Expand the <b>Sound, Video and Game Controllers<\/b> section. You should see <b>Ableton Push <\/b>listed. If it&#8217;s there but has a yellow warning symbol, turn off Push, then <b>right click<\/b> on <b>Ableton Push<\/b> in the Device Manager and select <b>Uninstall<\/b> to remove the broken driver. Make sure all other USB devices are disconnected for troubleshooting purposes. Try a different USB port.
