If you are running Mac OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion or 10.9 Mavericks, you must disable Gatekeeper in order to successfully install Media Composer or Symphony. Once the applications are successfully installed, you can restore the Gatekeeper settings.<\/p>\n

To disable Gatekeeper:<\/p>\n

  1. Open System Preferences by clicking the Apple logo<\/b> in the top left corner of your screen and choosing System Preferences<\/b>.<\/li>\n
  2. Click on Security & Privacy<\/b>.<\/li>\n
  3. \n

    Under the General <\/b>tab, select Anywhere<\/b> under “Allow applications downloaded from.”<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  4. Install the editing application.
