To reset Ableton Live, do the following:<\/h4>\n

Note<\/strong>: Resetting Live will cause your template set to be erased. You will also need to reconfigure your audio and MIDI hardware as well as your custom preferences. Plug-in support will need to be re-enabled.<\/em><\/p>\n

Mac<\/b><\/h5>\n

  1. Close Live.<\/li>\n
  2. Go to Macintosh HD\/Users\/[username]\/Library\/Preferences\/Ableton\/Live x.x.x\/<\/li>\n
  3. Delete Preferences.cfg<\/b>, Template.als<\/b>, and Undo.cfg<\/b> (if available).<\/li>\n
  4. Delete the same files for any version of Live on your computer and restart Live<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
    Windows XP<\/b><\/h5>\n

    1. Close Live.<\/li>\n
    2. Go to C:\\Documents and Settings\\[username]\\Application Data\\Ableton\\Live x.x.x\\Preferences\\<\/li>\n
    3. Delete Preferences.cfg<\/b>, Template.als<\/b>, and Undo.cfg<\/b> (if available).<\/li>\n
    4. Delete the same files for any version of Live on your computer and restart Live.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
