When you format the drive, all data will be erased, so be sure to back anything up beforehand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s always best practice to back up your rigs frequently on the off chance something may go wrong. So before troubleshooting, you should create a backup. Fortunately, the process for Kemper Profiling amps is straightforward. There are a few ways to reset your Profiler to the previously used settings.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"Reset-to-the-last-Rig\" class=\"wp-block-cgb-block-customheader darkBlueHeader alignLeft underline customh3 swheader\">Reset to the last Rig<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol><li>Power off the unit.<\/li><li>Hold the <strong>Rig <\/strong>key, then switch the amp to <em>Tuner<\/em> mode.<\/li><li>While holding the <strong>Rig <\/strong>key, turn the unit back on.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"Reset-the-MIDI-settings\" class=\"wp-block-cgb-block-customheader darkBlueHeader alignLeft underline customh3 swheader\">Reset the MIDI settings<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol><li>Power off the unit.<\/li><li>Hold the <strong>Quick <\/strong>key, then switch the amp to <em>Tuner<\/em> mode.<\/li><li>While holding the <strong>Quick <\/strong>key, turn the unit back on.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"Reset-System-Settings\" class=\"wp-block-cgb-block-customheader darkBlueHeader alignLeft underline customh3 swheader\">Reset System Settings<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Performing this action is not a full factory reset. Only the system settings will be erased, but all custom rigs will remain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol><li>Power off the unit.<\/li><li>Hold the <strong>System <\/strong>key, then switch the amp to <em>Tuner<\/em> mode.<\/li><li>While holding the <strong>System <\/strong>key, turn the unit back on.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"Update-the-firmware\" class=\"wp-block-cgb-block-customheader blackHeader alignLeft noUnderline customh2 swheader\">Update the firmware<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Kemper firmware (Operating System) updates typically add new features and bug fixes to the internal software. So if you\u2019re running into any issues, a simple firmware update could fix the problem.
