To set up StudioLive Remote for your iPad, you’re going to want to create a peer-to-peer network (a type of network connection between two systems that does not require a server or router).<\/p>\n

To do this, follow these instructions:<\/p>\n

Windows Vista:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Open Start>Connect to<\/li>\n
  2. Click “set up a connection or network”<\/li>\n
  3. Select “set up a wireless ad hoc network” and click Next<\/li>\n
  4. Enter the new network name of your choosing<\/li>\n
  5. Enter a password of your choosing<\/li>\n
  6. Click “save this network”<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Windows 7:<\/strong><\/p>\n

      \n
    1. Open Start>Control Panel<\/li>\n
    2. Click “Network and Internet”<\/li>\n
    3. Click “Network and Sharing Center”<\/li>\n
    4. Under “Change your networking settings,” click “Set up a new connection or network”<\/li>\n
    5. Select “set up a wireless ad hoc (computer-to-computer) network”<\/li>\n
    6. Click “Next” twice<\/li>\n
    7. Enter a network name of your choosing<\/li>\n
    8. Select the Security type<\/li>\n
    9. Enter a password of your choosing<\/li>\n
    10. Click “save this network”<\/li>\n
    11. Click “turn on internet connection sharing”<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Mac OS X 10.6 and later:<\/strong><\/p>\n

        \n
      1. On the menu bar, click on the Wireless Status icon<\/li>\n
      2. Select “create network”<\/li>\n
      3. Enter a network name of your choosing<\/li>\n
      4. Check “require password” if you want one and create a password<\/li>\n
      5. Your network will now appear in the list of available networks.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        From your iPad:<\/strong><\/p>\n

          \n
        1. Tap on the Settings icon<\/li>\n
        2. Tap on “Network”<\/li>\n
        3. Tap on “Wi-Fi”<\/li>\n
        4. You should see your new network under “Choose Network”<\/li>\n
        5. Select it<\/li>\n
        6. Enter your password if you created one<\/li>\n
        7. Tap the arrow to the right of the network name to open its menu<\/li>\n
        8. Turn on “Auto-Join”<\/li>\n
        9. Open the StudioLive Remote app<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
