To use your Edirol 2-channel audio interface with Mac OS 9, certain settings need to be made, depending on how you’ll use the interface.<\/p>\n
Playing System Audio Through Your Interface<\/strong><\/p>\n If you want to play system audio using the interface, such as when you’re using the CD-player application, you must have the Edirol’s ADVANCE switch set to OFF.<\/p>\n 1. Move the ADVANCE switch to the OFF position.<\/p>\n 2. Disconnect the USB cable<\/p>\n 3. Reconnect the USB cable.<\/p>\n With the ADVANCE switch off, your USB interface appears in the Mac’s Sound Control Panel on the INPUT tab. It won’t appear in the OUTPUT tab, but audio will<\/i> play from the USB audio interface.<\/p>\n Using the Interface with an ASIO-Compatible Program<\/strong><\/p>\n If you want to use the interface with an ASIO-compatible recording program, the ADVANCE switch must also be turned on.<\/p>\n 1. Run the OS 9 driver installation program for your interface, found on the supplied CD-ROM disc or downloaded from Roland<\/a>.<\/p>\n 2. Drag the files from the ASIO folder included in the driver installation CD-ROM or download to the appropriate ASIO folder for your recording program.<\/p>\n 3. Move the Edirol’s ADVANCE switch to the ON position.<\/p>\n 4. Disconnect the USB cable.<\/p>\n 5. Reconnect the USB cable.<\/p>\n 6.
