It is quite stable and reliable.  However if you experience problems, and have tried other options first, reinstalling may be useful.  <br \/>   In order to accurately determine that reinstalling FreeMIDI is necessary, we recommend that you contact Sweetwater Technical Support or MOTU Technical Support before reinstalling FreeMIDI.  <br \/>   Once again, make sure you&#8217;ve tried other troubleshooting tips (many listed in our Knowledgebase) first.<\/p>\n<p>  Before reinstalling FreeMIDI, &#8220;deinstall&#8221; it by trashing the following items.<\/p>\n<p>Mac HD<br \/>  &#8211; FreeMIDI Applications<\/p>\n<p>Mac HD >>> System Folder<br \/>  &#8211; FreeMIDI Folder<\/p>\n<p>Mac HD >>> System Folder >>> Extensions<br \/>  &#8211; FreeMIDI System Extension<br \/>  &#8211; FreeMIDI PowerPlug<br \/>  &#8211; FreeMIDI Softsynth<br \/>  &#8211; MOTU USB Driver<\/p>\n<p>Mac HD >>> System Folder >>> Preferences<br \/>  &#8211; FreeMIDI Preferences<br \/>  &#8211; FreeMIDI Setup Prefs<br \/>  &#8211; FreeMIDI SoftSynth Prefs<\/p>\n<p>  Restart your computer, then empty the trash.<\/p>\n<p>  Then you can perform an &#8220;easy install&#8221; of FreeMIDI from the MOTU USB CD, or a &#8220;custom install&#8221; of FreeMIDI from you Digital Performer CD (you only need to use one of the two CD&#8217;s, not both).
