Follow these steps to run diagnostics on the CDR500<\/p>\n<p>1. Place one &#8220;manufactured&#8221; audio CD in <strong>both<\/strong>\u00a0trays. These should be actual store-bought &#8220;pressed&#8221; music CD&#8217;s, not blank or burned CD&#8217;s.<br \/>\n2. Once both CD&#8217;s are loaded,\u00a0<strong>power off the unit<\/strong>.<br \/>\n3. Press and hold <strong>PLAY<\/strong>\u00a0on the recorder side, and the <strong>&#8220;Forward Search&#8221;<\/strong> buttons while you\u00a0<strong>power on the unit<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The CDR500 will cycle through a number of tests. If all test pass, the unit will finish and all lights will flash.<\/p>\n<p>If all lights do not flash together, and an ERR message appears, there may be a problem.
