{"id":15358,"date":"2002-07-25T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2002-07-25T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.sweetwater.com\/sweetcare\/?p=15358"},"modified":"2007-04-27T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2007-04-27T00:00:00","slug":"receive-data-dump","status":"publish","type":"articles","link":"https:\/\/www.sweetwater.com\/sweetcare\/articles\/receive-data-dump\/","title":{"rendered":"How to receive a data dump?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>1.Connect the MIDI IN connector of the CX-3 to the<br \/>MIDI OUT connector of the device that will transmit the data dump.<br \/>2.Set the Global channel of the MIDI device to match<br \/>the global MIDI channel of the CX-3 (set by the<br \/>Global mode Group 2 &#8220;MIDI Global Ch &#8221; parameter).<br \/>If data that was previously transmitted to a MIDI<br \/>device is being re-transmitted back to the CX-3, set the<br \/>global MIDI channel of the CX-3 to the setting that<br \/>was used when transmitting the data.<br \/>For details on setting the MIDI channel for transmission,<br \/>refer to the owner&#8217;s manual of the device you are using.<br \/>3.Set the Global mode Group 4 &#8220;MIDI Rx Sys Exc &#8220;<br \/>parameter to ENA.<br \/>4.Send the data dump from the transmitting device.<br \/>Refer to the owner&#8217;s manual for your device and<br \/>transmit the data.<br \/>If the &#8220;MIDI Rx Sys Exc&#8221; parameter is set to ENA,<br \/>data dumps can be received in either Normal mode<br \/>or EX mode.<br \/>5.When transmission is finished,the display will<br \/>indicate RxSysEx Completed.<br \/>If the display indicates RxSysEx Error, turn the power<br \/>off. Then while holding down the Program [2] and [7]<br \/>keys, turn the power on again. However, this will<br \/>initialize the contents of memory.<br \/>When the CX-3 receives data for one program, it will<br \/>enter the same mode (Normal mode or EX mode) in<br \/>which it was when that program was transmitted.<br \/>Since the CX-3 will switch to the received mode, you<br \/>will be in that mode when you press the [GLOBAL]<br \/>key or [EXIT] key to exit Global mode after receiving<br \/>the data dump.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":0,"template":"","categories":[],"tags":[],"storecat":[],"itemids":[20550],"manufacturers":[33480],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v17.9 - https:\/\/yoast.com\/wordpress\/plugins\/seo\/ -->\n<meta name=\"description\" content=\"Check out the How to receive a data dump?
