{"id":14948,"date":"2002-06-11T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2002-06-11T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.sweetwater.com\/sweetcare\/?p=14948"},"modified":"2007-04-27T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2007-04-27T00:00:00","slug":"make-tempo-changes","status":"publish","type":"articles","link":"https:\/\/www.sweetwater.com\/sweetcare\/articles\/make-tempo-changes\/","title":{"rendered":"How to make a tempo changes."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Tempo Changes<br \/>Since you may not want a constant tempo throughout all your songs, the XP-50 allows you to enter tempo<br \/>changes at any location within a song.<br \/>1) Press MICROSCOPE.<br \/>2) Make sure that EDIT is not lit and press TEMPO\/BEAT TRACK.<br \/>3) Cursor to Tempo Change and select the measure where the new tempo should begin.<br \/>4) Press EDIT so that it is lit, then press CREATE.<br \/>5) Cursor to Tempo and use the Alpha-dial or numeric keypad and enter to select a new tempo.<br \/>6) Press SEQUENCER to return to the Sequencer display.<br \/>Note: It is also possible to record tempo changes in real-time, which is useful for creating effects such as<br \/>accelerandos and ritards. From the Sequencer display, press REC the press TEMPO\/BEAT to select the Tempo<br \/>Track for recording. When you start recording, use the Alpha-dial to speed up or slow down the tempo.
