This procedure is called bouncing.<br \/>You can use this when you wish to play back the<br \/>performances of more than 16 tracks simultaneously.<br \/>You can use bounce recording to do the following<br \/>things.<br \/>&#8211; Combine 16 tracks of audio, and overwrite-record<br \/>them onto two tracks.<br \/>&#8211; Combine 16 tracks of audio, and record them onto<br \/>two unused virtual tracks.<br \/>&#8211; Record 14 tracks of audio and two external input signals<br \/>onto the remaining two tracks.<br \/>&#8211; Combine multiple external input sources, and record<br \/>them on two tracks.<br \/>When you use a CD-R\/RW drive to create an audio<br \/>CD, the data of tracks 1 and 2 will be written to the<br \/>CD, so you must combine your completed song<br \/>into tracks 1 and 2.<br \/>You can also mix down your completed song to<br \/>two tracks of the D1600, instead of mixing down to<br \/>an external two-channel recorder.<br \/>Combining 16 tracks of audio and overwriting<br \/>them onto 2 tracks<br \/>As an example, here&#8217;s how to combine the audio of<br \/>tracks 1-16, and overwrite-record the result onto tracks<br \/>1 and 2.<br \/>1 Select bounce recording as the recording mode.<br \/>&#8211; Access the [RECORD] &#8220;RecMode&#8221; tab page.<br \/>&#8211; Select &#8220;Bounce&#8221; (bounce recording).<br \/>2 Select the bounce mode.<br \/>&#8211; Access the [RECORD] &#8220;Bounce&#8221; tab page.<br \/>&#8211; Set &#8220;BounceMode&#8221; to &#8220;16T  2Tr.&#8221;<br \/>3 Choose the currently selected tracks for recording.<br \/>Set &#8220;RecordVirtualTrack&#8221; to &#8220;Current.&#8221;<br \/>4 Select the tracks that you wish to record.<br \/>Set the status of the tracks to be recorded (tracks 1<br \/>and 2) to REC (LED lit red).
