EMI 2|6 Firmware Loader <\/p>\n

The EMI 2|6 Firmware Loader, as the name indicates, automatically loads the EMI 2|6 Firmware into the EMI 2|6 during startup of your computer. The firmware will be kept in the EMI 2|6 as long as it is connected and powered. <\/p>\n
Once the firmware is loaded, the EMI 2|6 is available under Mac OS X using Mac OS X’s built-in USB Audio Driver. Open the control panel “System Preferences > Sound” to choose the EMI 2|6 as the main system output. All signals, e.g. from iTunes, will then be played back via Channel 1 and 2 of the EMI 2|6. <\/p>\n
Furthermore, all audio applications that support the Mac OS X Core Audio architecture will be able to make use of the features of the EMI 2|6: 6 Output Channels, 24bit, all available sample rates and channel assignments. The actual settings depend on the capabilities of the host application. <\/p>\n

Furthermore we are interested in receiving information regarding compatibility with Third Party Software and also welcome positive feedback; i.e. when an application runs fine with EMI 2|6. <\/p>\n
Please note: The standard USB Audio driver is provided by the Mac OS X Core Audio architecture, not by Emagic. The included file is only the firmware loader. If you encounter a problem with a certain application please contact the vendor of this application for information on compatibility of this application with the Mac OS X Audio Core Audio architecture first. <\/p>\n
