First – always set my global MIDI channel to 1
To this this – Press the “Global” button. The first menu item should be :<\/p>\n
GlobalChn | Sysex ID<\/p>\n
Use the knob under the LCD to the left to toggle the global channel to 1<\/p>\n
Next – for the uQ to play different sounds on different MIDI channels, you need to be in multi-mode<\/p>\n
To enter multi-mode, press “Multimode” button under the big red knob (BRK)<\/p>\n
This will bring you to the Multi-mode main page – from here you can scroll thru factory multis and blank multis (Free Multi V1.0)<\/p>\n
To set up your own multi for sequencing – edit the “Multi” button right below the “Global” button. This will bring you to the multi-edit pages. You should see the number 1 at the top right of the LCD, this tells you which “Instrument” you are setting up. From this screen you can select which sound this Instrument will use. Use the knobs below the LCD to select Bank (left knob) and Sound (right knob)<\/p>\n
If you now scroll over with the big red knob – to the right, you will see the other setup parameters for this Instrument such as Volume and Pan on the second page, Channel and Output on the next page, etc. On the Channel and Output page, you can set each Instrument to any MIDI channel you wish.<\/p>\n
To toggle which Instrument you are setting up, press the “Instrument” buttons above the LCD for the instrument you want to select. For example, if you want to set up or edit “Instrument” 4, press the 4 button. For “Instrument” 3, the 3 button – you will see the number change in the LCD. To edit Instrument 5-8, hit “shift”, then Instrument 2 to toggle up to the second row of Instruments, and “shift” Instrument 3, for 9-12 and so on.<\/p>\n
You can use this process to put a different sound on each Instrument, each with whatever MIDI channel you please.<\/p>\n
Once you have set up a multi with each Instrument on the MIDI channels you like, with the sounds you want – save it by pressing “Shift” button, and while holding it down – the Sound\/Store button. You can then name it, using the knobs under the LCD, and select which Multi location to save it to by scrolling with the big red knob. When you have named it, and are ready to save, press “Shift” button, and while holding it down – the Sound\/Store button again.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":0,"template":"","categories":[1],"tags":[35164],"storecat":[],"itemids":[],"manufacturers":[33853],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\t\n
