The rotary effect in the XP-60\/80 can be controlled from a foot pedal so you can switch the speed without having to stop playing the keyboard. You can use the DP-2, DP-6, or FS-5U footswitches, or EV-5 or FV-300L expression pedals with the XP-60 and XP-80. Use the following procedure: <\/p>\n
1. Plug a pedal into the CONTROL PEDAL 1 jack.
2. Press SYSTEM, then press F4 [Control] to display the Pedal Assign screen.
3. CURSOR to Pedal 1 Assign and use the VALUE dial to select “CC04: FOOT-TYPE.”
4. Press PATCH.
5. Use the VALUE dial to select “PR-A:046 Full Stops.”
6. Press F6 [Effects], then press F1 [General] (see Fig. 5).
7. CURSOR to Output and use the VALUE dial to select “EFX.”
8. CURSOR to the center box and use the VALUE dial to select “#8” (ROTARY).
9. URSOR to Output Assign and use the VALUE dial to select “MIX.”
10. CURSOR UP once and use the VALUE dial to select “127” for the EFX Output Level.
11. Press F2 [EFX Prm].
12. CURSOR to Speed and use the VALUE dial to select “SLOW.”
13. CURSOR to Level and use the VALUE dial to select “127.”
14. Press F3 [EFX Ctl].
15. CURSOR to EFX Ctrl 1 and use the VALUE dial to select “SLOW.”
16. CURSOR to Level and use the VALUE dial to select “FOOT: +63 > (Speed).”
The Rotary effect will now speed up when the pedal is depressed (or pushed down) and slow down when the pedal is released (or pulled up).
