In the FreeMIDI Setup application, go to the MIDI menu and choose &#8220;Check Connections.&#8221; <br \/>2. Your cursor will turn into a little keyboard icon. Place it over the icon representing your MIDI keyboard (and any other output devices). <br \/>3. Click the device. If it&#8217;s volume is turned up, it should play a chord. You have MIDI output! <br \/>4. Now look at the A under the FastLane icon in your studio configuration window. Play a note on your keyboard. The A should change briefly to a tiny eighth note.
