Is this update user installable?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>  The latest software for the BRC is 2.04 .  While it is technically user installable, there are a few things to consider.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; There are about 20 screws to remove and multiple ribbon cables to disconnect in order to get to the rom chip and change it.<br \/>&#8211;  Depending on the age of the BRC, additional hardware upgrades may be necesarry<\/p>\n<p>  For these reasons, it is recommend that you send your BRC in to Sweetwater for service.
