Make sure each of these devices is configured and cabled properly under standard SCSI rules.<br \/>*  Legacy or pre-SCSI Manager 4.3 devices require special configuration. In the ATTO ExpressPro-Tools application, double click on the &#8220;ATTO Technology Bus&#8221; in the Bus Information Window. On the right hand side of the pop-up window is a check box labeled &#8220;Pre SCSI 4.3 Manager&#8221;. Click inside this box, close the window and reboot the computer. Most legacy device will now operate properly. ATTO also recommends that customers download the latest device firmware from the device manufacturer.<br \/>*  Most new drives are shipped pre-formatted, but need to be initialized before they can be used. Use any recommended formatter\/initializer that is SCSI 4.3 compliant to initialize the device. <br \/>*  Try to mount the drives manually using the formatting software the volumes were created with. <br \/>*  Check the termination on the ExpressPCI bus.
