Jumpers must be changed internally to achieve the desired operational voltage. A switching type transformer is usually found in computers and appliances that cost far more than a BlueMax and are also usually not acceptable in audio applications, as they are inherently noisy. It would be best to purchase PreSonus products
from a local dealer and be assured the product is set-up to operate at the correct voltage required in your home country.

Preparing a Bluemax for 230 VAC Operation

Tools that you will need:

Soldering Iron and solder, Needle nose pliers and wire cutters Phillips screwdriver 15 mm wrench, Procedure:
1 . Using the Phillip’s screwdriver, remove the top cover screws (6), and the front panel screws (4).
2. Using the 15 mm wrench, remove the hex nuts (5) from the rear panel that secure the 1/4″ audio jacks.
3. Disconnect the 4-conductor power cable near transformer, and remove the circuit board assembly from the chassis.
4. Using the soldering iron and pliers, heat and remove BOTH of the existing wire jumpers. Save ONE jumper that will be reused. Refer to the attached drawing if necessary.
5. Using the soldering iron and pliers, insert ONE wire jumper into the location that was previously unused. This is the pair of holes closest to the 4-pin power connector.
6. Use the wire cutters to make sure that any excess wire is clipped from the bottom side of the circuit board. IMPORTANT: Leaving excess wire exposed could cause an electrical short, resulting in damage to the unit.
7.
