BIAS has recently identified a potentially serious problem affecting Peak 2.6, 2.6.1, and 2.5.7 that may result in deleting files. The problem may occur if earlier versions of Peak
are launched after first launching Peak 2.6, 2.6.1, or 2.5.7 and\/or trial versions of Peak 2.6, 2.6.1, and 2.5.7. <\/p>\n
Specifically, the problem relates to newer Peak preference files affecting older versions of Peak. <\/p>\n
To avoid the problem, please remove all copies (including trial versions) of Peak 2.6, 2.6.1, and 2.5.7 from any and all hard drives , delete Peak preferences and shortcut files from
within the System folder’s Preferences folder. Then download either Peak 2.5.8 (for Peak 2.5x users) or 2.6.2 (for Peak 2.6x users) using the following URL: <\/p>\n

Please note that you will need to re-install Peak from cd after deleting all the copies on your hard drive. Only do this when you are ready to run the updater for Peak 2.62 or to
replace the Peak 2.5x application with the Peak 2.58 application. <\/p>\n

Your Product Authorization Code (PAC) will work, here are some tips to try:
-Make sure to use all caps (put the caps lock key on)
-Make sure to type ‘zeros’ not ‘o’s -Don’t type the dashes; Put each of the four blocks of letters\/numbers in the corresponding boxes on the registration screen.
-Make sure that the version of the software you are trying to authorize is the same as the version that the code is for. <\/p>\n
If none of these tips work, try plan B: Go to Apple menu; Control Panel; Extensions Manager. Change your extension set to MacOS x.x ALL. This is done by clicking on “My
Settings” (most Apple computers are defaulted to this extension set) and change your set to MacOS x.x ALL. Restart, launch Peak, and enter your Name, serial number and PAC
once more. <\/p>\n

If you are trying to install Peak 2.0 or higher and receive an error message -2807 or “sound lib missing” you need to install QuickTime 3.0. The QuickTime 4.1 installer is
located on the BIAS Products CD-ROM that came with Peak 2.5. If you plan to use QuickTime 4, you must be sure to install the FULL (authoring) version of QuickTime 4 (note:
this is a free installation of QuickTime 4 and not QuickTime Pro).
