Problems with QuickSribe printing in Performer or Digital Performer (especially earlier versions such as 5.02 and 5.5) can be attributed to disabled background printing. Behavior includes printing only the staff, no notes, printing only the text, not staff or notes, or crashing with memory errors. The problem will occur with Inkjet and QuickDraw type printers. The QuickScribe font sends a lot of information. Without background printing, the information may be sent to the printer too fast for the printer to accept.
In the chooser/printer setup, choose to enable background printing.
