When you see an error in ProTools there are often two important keys to the message. First, there’s the written message itself. Second, there’s often a number included in the error message, e.g. -9073, -6086, etc. Both of these parts are important, so write them down (or take a screen shot) exactly as they are posted. This is important because definitions and solutions to these errors can be found at Sweetwater’s online knowledgebase as well as Avid’s online Answerbase at www.avid.com. TIP – Try looking up solutions by the error number first; sometimes that will yield the most immediate results.
