NI_KOMPLETE-11-ULTIMATE_screenshot-wallHaving issues with your Native Instruments software? Sometimes it may be necessary to uninstall and reinstall your Native Instruments applications. Before uninstalling your NI software, first make sure it is up to date with Native Access. You may need to reinstall your software if:

  • Updating the application does not resolve the issue
  • The application does not launch
  • You are no longer able to locate the application

Read below for instructions on how to remove a specific Native Instruments application from your computer.

Uninstall the App

In order to uninstall your Native Instruments application manually, simply delete the files and folders listed below.

Tip: Clicking each location below opens a new tab with the Finder location for uninstalling Kontakt.

1. Macintosh HD > Applications > Native Instruments > *Product Name* (folder)

2. Macintosh HD > Library > Preferences > com.native-instruments.*Product Name*.plist

3. Macintosh HD > Library > Audio > Plug-ins > Components > *Product Name*.component

4. Macintosh HD > Library > Audio > Plug-ins > VST > *Product Name*.vst

5. Macintosh HD > Library > Application Support > Digidesign > Plug-ins > *Product Name*.dpm

6. Macintosh HD > Library > Application Support > Avid > Audio > Plug-ins > *Product Name*.aaxplugin

7. Macintosh HD > Library > Application Support > Native Instruments > *Product Name* (folder)

8. Macintosh HD > Library > Application Support > Native Instruments > Service Center > *Product Name*.xml

Note: On newer Mac OS computers where 10.7 (Lion) or a later version is installed, the User Library folder is hidden. For the two next locations, open Finder, click Go, hold down the Option key and select Library.

9. Macintosh HD > Users > *Your User Name* > Library > Preferences > com.native-instruments.*Product Name*.plist

10. Macintosh HD > Users > *Your User Name* > Library > Application Support > Native Instruments > *Product Name* (folder)

Empty Trash

Now that each of these files and folders have been deleted, right click the Trash and select Empty Trash. Once done, simply Restart your computer.

Viola! Your Native Instruments software has been successfully uninstalled from your system.

Now, launch Native Access and select the application to reinstall.
