One of the best small diaphragm mics out

Ive recorded everything from acoustic and electric guitars with it to any kind of percussion instrument you can think of with it, for the price you can't beat it, very versatile. Love it, would recommend it to any and everybody!!!!!

As the Neumann U87 stands on its own, so does the sE Electronics sE5. To say "this mic is great bang for the buck" is a derogatory comment. This mic captures what is there with all the detail. No eq bumps to deal with. This mic is so good, once I was done, I now own a pair of the singles and a stereo matched pair. sE's quality control is so good, I'm not sure that a "matched pair is really all that necessary. But since they offer matched pairs, I took advantage of it. Call your engineer and order you one! If you have NEVER purchased from Sweetwater, I beg you to call 1-800-222-4700 ext 1328 and speak with Chris McCown. In nearly 7 years, I have spent a scary amount of money here, and he has been spot on every time! You do know that the sales engineer is assigned to you and you speak with the same person every time you call, yes? If you don't have an assigned engineer, make mine yours. You will thank me!

A Really good mic

Nate recommended this for my choir. I purchased one and had to have another. I am so impressed with the clarity and middle of the road sound. Not too much on the high side. Feedback rejection is really good. What took four microphones for the coverage now only takes two! These definitely put a smile on my face! Oh, and the service I received from Sweetwater was second to none! I had to have it by a certain date for a concert and it was at my doorstep just as they said. Keep up the great service guys!
