Awesome product

Works great on iOS. I set up midi learn on the IOS app Cubasis and it worked flawlessly. Unfortunately you need to connect to a Mac or PC to set it up and the light options are weak and if your on a " outdated " Mac your out of luck unless you choose a old file download to work with to update it or set it up to your preferred conditions but out of the box control is perfect.

Awesome unit

I was able to simply map it out via midi learn to use Cubasis 3 on iOS with a iPad mine on a display stand for it. VERY VERY useful. Paired with l Volt 276 as my interface and a CME Xkey Air 25-key Bluetooth MIDI Controllerand I'm cooking up music on the go. I will try to even gran a Korg nanoKEY Studio Bluetooth/USB MIDI and Pad Controller as a substitute for when I'm traveling and such. as both use the same hard case from Amazon.

Faders Follow Fingers

The Korg Nanokontrol Studio has been a game changer for my mix work in my home studio. Easy to setup - IF YOU READ THE MANUAL. Just depress a few buttons specific to your DAW of choice and the faders, pan knob, mute, solo, record and channel select buttons all come to life. It took me some time to realize the navigation between tracks in Studio One was achieved by using the track forward and back arrows which is different than navigating in other DAWs which is achieved using the SCENE button that gives you an LED indicator as to which set of faders you are for 5 different scenes of 8 channels of fader strips which appear not to be available and do not light up to indicate which scene you are on for Studio One users. Maybe it is possible to set this indication display to become active in the midi device edit software but I am not adept at that kind of programming at the moment. I overcome this by keeping a mental note of where I am and use the select button on the channel strip in conjunction with the track button to highlight the channel I want or at least one close to it. Hoping Korg and Studio One can address this issue and make this a little easier and work instead with the SCENE button. It also took me a little time to figure out that CYCLE is used as a toggle on/off for the loop function; but the marker buttons and SET buttons were easy enough to figure out to make and navigates between markers.

I also had an issue with the wireless bluetooth functionality even after downloading the BLE-MIDI software from Korg for Mac where I was able to connect but would lose connection every time I hit the track select button to navigate between tracks. Very frustrating but it works well enough connected by USB and at the price point for this device I was able to look past this failing.

Above everything else, the jog wheel and STOP, PLAY and RECORD buttons were the easiest to comprehend and use.

The price is very affordable and the build is light but the plastic pieces do not feel flimsy. I would highly recommend this device for budget minded DAW users who work better with a tactile experience.

Great DAW Controller

I bought this to use with Cakewalk Sonar and spent several hours trying to get the bluetooth feature to work and read tons of forums and watched I don't know how many videos on Youtube but nothing I tried worked . I was about to give up when I was going through all the settings in Sonar and I saw a setting under Preferences | MIDI | Playback and Recording and I changed the MIDI driver mode from MME to UWP and then it started working. After some research I found that Korg actually worked with Cakewalk to develop the Bluetooth capability and I think it's strange that it's not mentioned in the documentation how to set this up. Anyway it works great now and I am very satisfied with it.
