Made the Move

Made the move back to Mac, and glad I did! Super fast processing, stunning visuals and graphics, seemless sharing with my iPhone and iPad. What I lost in purchased software, I gained in preloaded Apple Apps! Now that I've tried the new Macs, there's no going back.

Wow !! Replaced 2007 iMac .What a difference. So much faster and stable especially in logic,MainStage,etc... video editing is 100 times faster !! Screen resolution incredible.Best part I didn't have to deal with the apple store !!!!

Perfect for my needs...

First off... The screen is incredible and I will say it's the main reason I made the purchase. This is my second Mac as I upgraded from an early model iMac(intell). I use the computer mostly for internet and photo/home video editing. I find the included 8 gigs of memory to be sufficient. I haven't encountered any issues that would warrant an upgrade in RAM. The computer runs very quiet. The wireless keyboard and mouse are great. I have read some reviews stating the mouse could be a little more form fitting. I find it perfect for me. I would say the only issue I have so far is how you have to charge the mouse. The adapter plugs in on the bottom of the mouse making the device impossible to use while charging. The computer is somewhat heavy and requires a sturdy desk for general use. I would not recommend placing this on a cheap plastic made portable corner desk.

A great computer!

I bought a Fat Mac in 1985. Awesome machine, for the time. The iMac is indeed a worthy successor! The 27" display lets me see a lot more tracks etc. in Live than my MacBook Pro 15 could, although I like the MacBook too. I got the 3TB hybrid is surprisingly quiet! The whole thing is quiet, except for when I use intense graphics games, and then I hear a little fan noise...not annoying at all. When I use it with Live, it is absolutely quiet! The Magic Mouse is great....slightly updated from my old one. And so, my only complaint is the keyboard. It works fine, but I take issue with the up and down arrow keys: they are half the size of the right/left arrow keys. I much prefer that all the 4 arrow keys be the same size, and not so crammed together. But otherwise, it is a usable keyboard. Overall this is a great product!
