An excellent mic and transmitter combo for presentation

There are three important things you need from any wireless lav system: great sound quality, easy operation, and dependable performance - and the Sennheiser XSW 12 system delivers them all! The included omnidirectional microphone sounds great and works equally well for live presentation as it does for video and broadcast. Automatic scan and synchronization functions make setting up the XSW 12 system incredibly easy, and Remote Channel Sync lets you lock in the perfect channel, even if you're already onstage.

960 tunable frequencies provide ample bandwidth

Operating in the 24MHz range, the Sennheiser XSW 12 system offers you a total of 960 available frequencies to choose from. Each frequency range is tunable in broad 25kHz channels, giving you plenty of available bandwidth, even in the middle of America's most crowded cities. And since the XSW 12 system automatically selects the best channels within your frequency range, you'll never have trouble finding a clear, noise-free channel.

True-diversity reception ensures dropout-free performance

When you're in the middle of a presentation, the last thing you want is for your mic to suddenly cut out. That's why Sennheiser gave their XSW 12 system a true-diversity receiver. This receiver is designed to provide you with up to 250' of dropout-free operation. What's more the XSW 12's wireless transmitter provides you with an impressive 10-hour battery life, so you'll never have to run out in the middle of a presentation to switch batteries.

Great system

Bought this system 08-27-15 from Alex Morales (sales rep.). I like this lapel better than an ear mic I was blown away with the quality of sound. Clip it on and forget it. Used on a Pastor with no Sound Check; he just clipped it on and went on stage. Amazing sound quality and I had minimal eq. change on my digital board. Ear Mics are tricky with each ear being different and getting the shape to work so the ear mic doesn't slide down to the collar or up to the eye (you know what I mean!) and then you have an eq. nightmare. Highly recommend this lapel system, you will not regret it. Sure it is a legacy platform but has all the new technology and the lapel has consistent coverage no matter what the end user is doing.

Our services are over the top since purchasing my equipment. I am able to freely walk through the whole church preaching. My congregation loves the up closeness that they are able to feel and experience.

Fit Our Needs Perfectly!

My church needed a good quality clip-on Lav type Mic for use in our Education Center facility at our church. We host a good number of workshops, adult formation sessions, bible studies, etc and this product has worked extremely well in a large hall environment. No feedback, no clipping or fading, and a very natural sound. Folks comment they hear the presenters very clearly. We are very pleased with the Sennheiser SXW 12 Presentation Set.

Suprisingly good mic and transmitter

I purchased the Sennheiser XSW 12 for a chuck wagon cooking presentation, as the cook needed his hands free. Testing the set beforehand, I was impressed with the coverage. We could use the mic much farther from the receiver than needed. But, it was the sound quality that impressed us most. The mic is omni, and the cooks interactions with his assistants was surprisingly clear. I don't have need for a set like this often, so the price was right. And the sound surpassed my expectations. Very little eq needed.

Didn't work for me

When used in isolation, this set performs admirably - very clear, good range etc. Unfortunately it has terrible feedback issues when used with a PA system indoors. Tried it in a bingo hall and it just screeched in every location. Had to shut it off. Outdoors it works really well until it gets near other electronics. We mic'd a 2 star general at a large funeral, but when he approached the podium where professional media had set up their mic's, a mid-range tone started. Had to shut the whole system down and let him speak unamplified. I suppose in an audio engineer's hands this would be an awesome device, but for a klutz like me, it proved to be a real embarrassment. I don't know what I can use two of them for now.
