A lot Of Bang in a small package
If you're like me, working on a budget, and not a lot of space but need something other than your headphones to mix some music, or just a better pair of small monitors, then these are your ticket. They were a tad larger than I thought they'd be, (weighed a lot more too). Whoever said they have way more bass in them than they should was spot on, the bass is outright impressive. Very clean, can get some pretty low bass for such a small speaker. It'll struggle past 50Hz, but it's not a whole lot you're gonna hear beyond that either. While they're blowing your mind away with the bass, you're still able to hear EVERYTHING you're supposed to hear from your mids and highs. I don't consider my ear "audiophile", but I know good and bad speakers, I sell them for a living, and these are just awesome for the money. The ONLY reason I'd suggest another set of speakers, is if you're looking for some extremely low and powerful bass, other than that, you can't miss with these. Hell of a job by the guys at Focal.
After weeks of research, I bought these for my new computer.
These speakers sound FANTASTIC. Nice range. I want my music delivered clean and clear. These speakers have great range and a stylish and compact footprint. They look and sound great on my desk. I'm thinking about adding the Focal Sub, but it is not needed.
If you like your music crystal clear from your desktop computer and need an attractive speaker, the Focal XS Book nailed it!
