A Small Mixer with Big Features

The Behringer Xenyx X1222USB USB mixer makes it easy to mix up to 12 channels of audio at a budget-friendly price. You get six Xenyx mic preamps on the first six channels, plus an additional four stereo channels for line level-sources. Two of the stereo channels also feature XLR jacks. The two-bus design lets you route signals to an alternate source, while two aux sends per channel further enhance your routing options. The X1222USB helps you sound your best too, with one-knob compression and 3-band EQs. A 7-band graphic EQ lets you really dial in the sound you are looking for, and it can be set to either the mains or monitors. The FBQ feedback detection system helps you identify the offending frequencies so you can tame them, and the XPQ 3D stereo surround effect gives your mixes a huge, room-filling sound. Best of all, you can easily record the stereo output of the X1222USB to your computer via USB - it even comes with a suite of free recording and podcasting software.

Sound-sculpting features

Live sound engineers know the value of a quality compressor. The Behringer Xenyx X1222USB mixer makes compressing easy, featuring six channels, each with one-knob compression. Just set your signal levels, then adjust the compressor to taste, making signal-level management easier than ever. A 24-bit multi-effects processor gives you the power to add professional touches to your mix. Reverb, delay, echo, chorus and more let you add that finishing touch to vocals and mixes. The X1832USB also features a 7-band graphic EQ to really dial in great sound no matter the venue.

Flexible routing

The Xenyx X1222USB mixer makes it easy to send your audio to multiple destinations. It's great for setting up custom headphone mixes for recording in your home studio. Set your main levels where they need to be for recording, then use the aux sends on each channel to set up a custom monitor mix that can be sent to a headphone amp.

USB recording and playback

The Xenyx X1222USB's computer connectivity is a helpful addition, both in the studio and on stage. In your studio, you can record the stereo output of the X1222USB to virtually any recording software, and you can also play back audio from your computer through the mixer. For live use, the X1222USB is an easy way to mix and record the show at the same time - just take your laptop and hit record before the show starts. It's also a great way to add backing tracks to your performance, by routing computer playback to the main outputs along with the live mix.

Behringer Xenyx X1222USB USB Mixer Features:
  • Lots of input options at a budget-friendly price
  • Channels 1-4 each feature one-knob compression
  • FBQ feedback detection system
  • 3-band EQ on each channel

Good mixer

Like everyone else has been saying, this is a really good mixer for the money. I'm a little disappointed that the price is the same as the Q1222, though, which has more effects. The effects are decent in this mixer, though I'll probably only use the reverb. Also, I just plugged directly to my ipad and tested out some recording with Garage Band and there were a few points where the recording cut out, but I may just not have it set up right. Needless to say, it doesn't seems to be plug and play with DAWs, unless Garage Band just really sucks or something. If you don't care about the effects, or if they actually are intending to replace this with the Q model, get the Q model instead.

Great Mixer

Been playing out for over 45 years. At 64 I recently joined a band and yes, now once again I"m the guy that owns the PA. Initially I was thinking about the "suitcase" style small pa"s. We"re playing small gigs, outdoor patio type things. 5 piece. Grateful to Sweetwater once again and my sales rep Scott A. Yamahas were 10", 680 watts for 900 not including tax. Bought this great board and 2-JBL EON 612, tripod stands, and 2-30" mic cords...
Currently we are not mixing guitars and bass. We have 3 vocalists through the board and mixing bass drum, snare and a overhead. Love how the iPhone connects through the board to play break music. Love the red silence button that silences all mics, so when breaks start, I hit the button, nobody hears the band talking on stage.
I kind of used the compressor knob on the vocals but unlike other reviewers, I found it kind of touchy and only had it it turned up to about 8 o"clock (using 6 as a starting point)
I also like how you not only have all the regular treble, mid, bass on individual channels but by tweaking the high end a bit on the boards eq, it can really bring the highs out.
Not so much a review on the board but man those 12" JBLs sound so good. Bass drum sounded fine for what we"re doing.
I"ve been in many bands, big and small. Currently it feels good to not haul sub woofers, snakes etc.

Good low cost mixer

Slight learning curve for noise control and clipping BUT, Ive found a little secret VIA You Tube that totally cures any and all latency problems which makes this a perfect mixer for my home studio. The USB is spot on going into my Studio One DAW. The pre amps,XENYX are good with slight noise on hi end.
Its like a multi channel interface with FX, EQ,CUTS,and just enough inputs to get the job done. This is cheaper than some interfaces out there and eliminated the need for one. If ya ever need to record a full band live, this will easily fit the bill. The widening knob is amazing and foice removal is good for KAREOKE.
Music background: 60 years in and out of studios, now home for good.
