Great Guitar
Good quality construction, attention to detail, great crunch from the pickups and Floyd Rose works well. If you like to rock or shred, this guitar is a great deal for the money. I have several Gibsons, a G&L, Epi's and a PRS. I would put this up against any of them. The EVH and PRS models made overseas are super values and unless you are a pro, work just as well as the guitars that cost 2 or 3 grand or more. Once you get the Floyd Rose set up, you can do dive bombs to your heart's content and it stays in tune. A solid guitar and the quilted finish is nice, too. Like Eddie says, he went through all the experimentation, so why go through it yourself when you can get one of these for a great price. This will be one of permanent collection. It is solid, good action, and tone and volume controls operate well. I thought Basswood would be light and flimsy...not! This guitar has some weight to it and thus has good sustain. I like it!

Awesome guitar set up great right out of the box, I lowered the action very little, no fret buzz ...Neck feels great very smooth. Pickup sounds great and hot. Stays in tune after divebombing. I got the trans red one. very beautiful finish. Thank you Chris at Sweetwater for a great guitar, you are an awesome salesperson.

I own a Peavey Wolfgang Special...15 years old with nice mellow wood, great tone and resonance. I bought this EVH Standard to compare it my Peavey, and I must say, I'm impressed. It is a very comfortable, light, enjoyable guitar to play. The neck impresses me most...very well done. Hard to beat this guitar for the price.
