Five Waveforms for Your Modular Synth Rig
Note: This module requires a compatible Eurorack case/power supply for operation. Call your Sweetwater Sales Engineer for more information.
Every modular synth rig needs a powerful oscillator module at its core, like the Pittsburgh Modular Waveforms Eurorack oscillator module. On top of traditional waveforms including sine, triangle, saw, and pulse waves, you also have a sub octave generator and a unique "blade" wave for creative tone-generating capabilities. Synth nuts at Sweetwater were pleased to see that these oscillators have a frequency range as low as seven seconds per cycle, which means you can also use the Pittsburgh Modular Waveforms module as an LFO generator for the other modules in your modular synth rig.Pittsburgh Modular Waveforms Eurorack Oscillator Module at a Glance:
- Five oscillators with extreme modulation potential
- Ready for hard sync effects
- Don't forget it's an LFO too
The Pittsburgh Modular Waveforms module packs a five waveform types, including their unique Blade waveform. Pittsburgh Modular explains that the Blade wave "is a saw ave pitched one octave above the core frequency of the oscillator." For creative sound design, three types of modulation are available with the Blade waveform. The shape of the Blade wave can be controlled via the pulse width CV input. At the same time, you can use the manual pulse width control to sweep the Blade wave. Finally, using the dedicated Blade CV input lets you create shifting, pulsing effects.Ready for hard sync effects
When you want to create iconic hard sync sounds from your synth rig, turn to the Pittsburgh Modular Waveforms module. The Reset input accepts a gate signal to reset the oscillator. Used in conjunction with the modulation capabilities and your other oscillator modules, you'll be able to explore all manner of hard sync synth sounds.Don't forget it's an LFO too
The Waveforms module is such a powerful tone generator it's easy to forget that it can be a powerful LFO generator to modulate the other elements in your synth rig. Some of these waveforms have a frequency range that goes down to seven seconds per cycle, perfect for slow filter sweeps or pulse width modulation.Pittsburgh Modular Waveforms Eurorack Oscillator Module Features:
