Great tone and a comfortable body style that begs to be played

The sweet thing about the Fender Villager 12-string is that you get awesome acoustic tone, without spending a fortune. This is definitely a cool "first guitar" - and also a great upgrade for any seasoned acoustic player. In the name of tone, the Villager 12-string has a solid spruce top. It's a very popular acoustic guitar tonewood because it gives you a round and powerful voice. This is the kind of guitar you'll want to bring into the coffee shop and hit the next open mic. Of course, apart from hearing this one, you'll totally dig playing this one. It has a cutaway body style, so it's easy to play up and down the neck. And speaking of neck, it's got a vintage "C"-shaped neck, so the Villager 12-string will fit perfectly into your palm.

Gig-ready electronics let you plug it in onstage

The Fender Villager 12-string comes loaded with Fishman's Presys pickup system. The powerful Presys system features treble, mid, bass, volume, and phase controls that let you really dial in that perfect sound. Another bonus is the built-in tuner that lets you tune without complicated and confusing handheld tuners. You're ready for the gig with the Fender Villager 12-string Acoustic-electric Guitar!

Cool vibe with a chilled out look

Yes, it's about tone, but it's also about vibe. And the Villager 12-string definitely has vibe. Lots of it. Check out the headstock on this one - it's the same shape as Fender's iconic 12-string Stratocaster, so you've got a unique-looking acoustic guitar that's going to draw in eyes. Also cool, the rosette around the soundhole sports a checkerboard design, giving the Villager 12-string a touch of flair. Last but not least, the pickguard isn't your standard tortoise-shell color... it's a vintage-inspired design for another cool, unique touch. Like we said, this is one cool guitar.

Fender Villager

Definitely recommend this guitar! I was really surprised by the high quality and playability of this guitar. It has a smooth sound and is extraordinarily easy to play for a 12 string, easier than some six strings, which allows you to play at the top of your skill level. The body is a little smaller than it looks on line, but it still projects well and sounds great plugged in. 3 EQs and a tuner highlight the electronics. Also, it's not easy to get a hard shell case for it because of the cool headstock. You have to go with the Fender Kingman Bass case if you want a hard shell case. You wont be disappointed with this one.

Perfect for Me

A magical shimmering tone is my description for the Villager. I wanted a 12 string that I could take to gatherings, even campfires, and pass around without the worry that attends a pricey guitar. The Villager is MIC and Fender's MIC necks are some of the best finished necks I have ever played. Minus a half point for not having a gig bag figured out for this guitar and a half point for the "just good enough" tuning pegs. With the above said, this guitar suits my needs. A $1200 Breedlove sounds much richer but, the Villager is priced just right for sound and investment, IMO. The more "middy" tone pf the Villager would make to play nicely with fuller 12 strings. It is less 'dramatic' and works well for me playing on a beach with others around. The lighter sound is a very cheery tone. This guitar is a keeper and a wise purchase for me
