Say hello to your ultimate tone buddy

From spanky-clean rhythm parts to full-shred leads, the Rivera Venus 5 handles it all with complete composure. With the clean channel poised on the brink of breakup, you'll also find a massive range of crunch in between - all controllable with your guitar's volume pot. This is classic tube tone, Rivera-style! And weighing in at only 57 lbs., the compact Venus 5 is your ultimate tone buddy, whether you're recording in your studio or belting it out onstage.

The versatility to ace any gig or session

The Venus 5 is a versatile amp. Rivera's vintage/modern switch on the rear panel lets you cut power down to 15 watts while enhancing your even-order harmonics, making it ideal for practice, low-volume recording, and performing in smaller venus. Two speaker jacks plus an impedance selector switch give you the versatility of connecting to the internal and external speakers. A line-out jack lets you slave another amp or recording directly from the line-level power amp signal. You also get an active effects loop with send and return level controls for easy patching and signal matching to any external signal-processing chain.

Sweeten your tone with classic spring reverb

Few people understand spring reverb the way that the engineers at Accutronics do, and it's one of their remarkable reverb units that lets you dial in lush and dimensional guitar tone right inside your Rivera Venus 5 combo amp. This 3-spring reverb features a long and remarkably vibrant decay, and when you kick up the Venus 5's presence control, you can easily create bright and brilliant clean tones with the perfect touch of shimmer. The 3-function FS-7R footswitch is included.

Straight Dope!

This thing kills. All kinds of tones. The clean channel has tones of headroom and sparkle killer from funk to jazz to country. The gain channel has all kinds of diffent tones from light gain to high gain. Really does all style of rock and metal to blues. Flip the ampt tonthe vintage setting and you get a warmer amp that breaks up easier, waaay bluesy. The vintage setting is great for recording. Amp has all kinds of tones from smooth and creamy to abrassive and raw.

Its more than an amp.

The first time i plugged into it i hated it. I got home from work, and was to tired to give it a fair shot. I was sure I would have to return it, and that made me mad. Fortunately we had the rest of the weekend to live under the same roof. This amp has an interface that forces you to approach her aware. You cant force the relationship. On saturday morning, very early, we found a common ground with what was our very first performance together. Since then she has been pulling music out of me. I spent the rest of that weekend realizing what a good amp can do. I have owned many amplifiers over the years, some cheap, some very expensive, but none have affected me this way. To you maybe this sounds almost silly, but i assure you; if you are looking for that certain something, that x factor. If you want an amp that will remind you that truly rust never sleeps, then maybe this is the one. I was gonna return it. Now i cant let her go.
Music background: improvisor.
