Just what I wanted

I'm using this to perform and record my voice. After doing a bunch of comparison recordings of different settings, I was able to bring out the sound I wanted. For me, I needed to brighten up my voice so I turned the shape up fairly high. Then the compressor setting helped to thicken it up. And finally that warmth button (yup, you guessed it) added warmth. The amazing thing, to me, was being able to add brightness and warmth at the same time. And it doesn't sound "effected"; still sounds natural. So I say 5-stars because it does what I hoped for.

Beginning of My Chain

I've been using this for about 9 months. I may be the only one who uses this to record hip-hop artist. Until last week I began using the T1 with the MDX 1600. A clarity and presents that I've never though I would hear come for my mixes. WOW and it all started with the T1.

Beyond Surprised

This makes the difference for me between low and indistinct, and bassy and crisp, when I don't have a sound guy to clean up the EQ in the house. Took about 10 minutes to get it tuned for my vocal characteristics, and I couldn't be happier about it.

Pretty Neat

So I was weary about buying this product at first, mainly because of the size. I took the leap, and I can say this is a great product to own. The warmth button adds a nice EQ touch to your vocals, the shape is nice here and there... but what I really love is the comp/de-ess function. Even with a hiss filter my vocals were come out with those S's and such, screeching through the mix. Yea, I can compress and de-ess in post, but each vocal track requires a different tune of settings. Just turn on this bad boy and youre good to go. It definitely does what its advertised as, so no complaints. The effect is somewhat subtle, but it definitely does the trick and I love what it does to my vocal recording. I gave it a 4 because while it does as expected, it has some weird clipping issues depending on the order you plug things in (which in all honesty is probably my fault) also, the phantom power turns on the INSTANT you plug a required mic into the port, I dont know if this is bad for the mic or not, but just something to point out. Im actually using this in the studio, not live. Good product, I think $150 is about what its worth in my opinion. Out of all the TC Helicon VoiceTone series, I think this one is by far the most functional in a real-world setting.
