Great Audio

The music I do is folk and Americana, solo, with one of my Martin guitars with K&K Pure Mini pickups, a Fishman Loudbox Artist amp running straight through, no effects, and a SHURE SM86 microphone. I just used the TC-Helicon VT Correct at two venues: a nursing home concert and at a MLK themed church service. I am high frequency deaf, so if someone asks me to sing a note, I am clueless, but I do a good job of matching notes, thus I always need a guitar and I can match any note in a chord. I put all the settings at 12 o'clock, except for the mic input, that I had at 1 o'clock. All the settings were on, except for gate, since I am solo. The nursing home set went great - lots of compliments. The church service where I did two songs went great and I received a lot of comments back on how nice it sounded, especially on how crisp and clear the audio was, and that every word sung could be understood. Now, I sing on tune, but the Correct XT makes me sing better. I can hear the slight differences between me and the tone correct, and then I adjust. It is like singing with a pitch perfect singer and adjusting to make yourself better.

Perfect

This device works perfectly, I've been lead singing for about 30 years and sometimes you just aren't as "on note" as you are normally and sometimes you have a little "dust" in your voice from an on coming cold or allergies. This device instantly brings you on pitch and your audience can't hear it happening. You can, in the monitors, but they can't and the rest of the band can't unless they're standing close enough to hear your "live" voice too. The anti-feedback works perfectly and prevents me having problems from the sound man flirting more than engineering. I highly recommend this device for vocalists.

Helpful, when you've got vocal fatigue

Dial in at 10 o'clock, the auto tune is transparent. The warm, gate and dynamics.. all doing what they should... well! I use this when I get a sore throat from a lot of shows... A muso has a gig bag. Every vocalist should have one of these in their kit bag.

All-purpose Problem Solver

The XT adds feedback protection to the already terrific VoiceTone Correct pedal. I use it both on stage and in the studio to provide *mild* pitch correction and compression for main vocals. This device is subtle and unobtrusive, no exaggerated pitch correction here. I find it very effective for good-to-excellent vocalists; less so for the poor-to-fair. My only complaint is the wall-wort power supply - yet more unarmored cable on stage is a Bad Thing. Overall, this is an excellent all-purpose vocal correction device; highly recommended.
