Roland VR3-EX - AV Mixer w/ Web Streaming Reviews
The Roland VR-3EX is a perfect example of what an all-in-one A/V mixing system can be. Loaded with a large touchscreen and intuitively laid out controls, you don't have to be a video tech to run this mixer. HDMI I/O includes four inputs, one of which supports 1080p. What's more, the VR-3EX comes packed with over 200 cool 480p video effects and transitions plus streaming capabilities. With Sweetwater's long history with Roland, we expected nothing but the best on the audio side, and the VR-3EX's built-in 18-channel mixer with effects certainly did not disappoint us.

Medical application
The Roland VR3-EX is small, light-weight and extremely well designed. Multiple choices for inputs and outputs (especially the USB out) demonstrate real attention to detail. For example, not just one earphone output but both 1/4" and 1/8" options.
I use the VR3-EX to webcast paramedic school classes and large medical conferences. The internet students say the internet experience is now more like a real classroom experience and I can use multiple cameras (I'm using Canon VIXIA HF M50) for excellent video coverage of conferences.
The audio mixer/preamp that's part of this unit puts everything at your fingertips to do real production for webcasts.
The USB output allows all of the video cameras to be recognized as a webcam by our webcast software (we use Cisco WebEx) but with pan, tilt, zoom and high quality.
Fun Device with Big Limits
Very fun device. Our is disappointment is that there is only one 1080 and VGA port input. Makes a big differences. This is a really great video streaming mixer.
