Midi Interface - Finally a good one!

I am running a software program that is designed for playing midi files or audio files in a live situation. I use midi files with a sound module. While testing my backup laptop I used the same sound module and a midi interface I bought off Ebay for $15. Well, the backup system never played the midis correctly. I noticed on certain songs the program changes on the module were not responding and consequently wrong patches were being played. I swapped the midi interface from the gig laptop to the backup laptop and walah! ....no more problems. So, the cheap interface I got off Ebay was the problem. I bought the M-Audio USB interface. I simply plugged it in and walah! ....it worked beautifully. Didn't have to use the installation CD that came with it. Just worked great from the get go. Lesson learned: Sound is only as good as the weakest link in the chain. Use a good interface. It's worth the money!!

Getting connected

Getting midi gear setup has never been easier.
I have used and trusted Uno USB to midi connectors for over 10 years. In a multiple device setting it remains key to transporting midi data to and from the selected midi devices to the computer USB port and into your recording software/ daw.

Working Great

Driver disk would not load, but my Windows 10 laptop configured the Uno in a minute, and plays/ records great. Just what I wanted!

M-Audio Uno

I got this to update firmware on my Strymon Timeline Delay. Works perfect. Make sure to download the current drivers for your OS from the M-Audio website for best results. Easy to use and plug and play simple.

Worked great with CASIO CTK711EX

The UNO arrived the day after ordering. I am running WIN7 on my laptop and the driver disk included with the unit wouldn't load so I found the appropriate driver at the M-Audio sight. I was up and running
in just a few minutes and have resurrected my older CASIO keyboard.
My friend just scored a beautiful KORG I3 and I suspect he will be getting an UNO as well

Do you still have a few older modules lying around the studio? The M-Audio UNO is the de facto choice for any caliber of musician who needs to hook up one MIDI device to their computer via USB. This is also perfect for the Sibelius user who's using a keyboard controller.
