What a delightful surprize

Make no mistake this is not merely a gig bag it is a quality case that if it isn't hard shell it sure feels like it, It is very well engineered and thought out any professional musician will love this case and its many features. One of the more subtle things is a velcro flap that keeps it from falling open in those times when you don't need to zip it closed. Call Marshal Oliver at Sweetwater and let him bless you with one of these, when you get the case you will appreciate my using the term "Bless".

Nice Case

I bought this as a gift for my daughter. She wanted to protect her Uke when traveling. This is the case designed for her Lanikai Soprano Ukulele. It is called a "hard case" but the exterior is a durable nylon material over a rigid framework or inner structure (I'd guess it is a rigid foam). It is lightweight but should be very good for protecting the instrument in all but the most extreme conditions. The lid is soft hinged with a good double handed zipper (two zipper tabs to zip in either direction). The lid fastens at the handle with a velcro type flap. Over time this could possibly loose its fastening ability, but that should take years. There is also a nice storage pocket on the top of the lid. The interior of the case is roomy, not a snug fit. It has a nice padded, plush lining with an accessory compartment that holds a tuner, strings or other small items. I would be a little concerned with the loose fit except that there is a velcro type strap that goes over the neck near the body to hold the uke in place. Obviously, the light weight of the instrument makes this very functional and it does work very well. Compared to other choices for cases or gig bags, I would consider this a premium case with a good balance of protection features and ease of use. It is small enough and light weight enough to carry anywhere without tiring. I'm very pleased with it, but even more importantly, so is my daughter.

Great value for the money

This is a solid case that makes me feel secure about carrying my uke around town. It's got a small compartment inside for a tuner and polishing cloth, but not much else. I wish the outer pocket were larger, but given the size of the instrument housed in the case, it's not surprising that everything is small. All in all, well worth the money.
