I figured for the price I had to try it and I am glad I did. Great sound from this inexpensive pedal

By william phillips from PITTSFIELD, MA on September 20, 2023

No extraneous noise from this pedal just the sounds I was looking for. Great price, great look, easy to dial in very useful sounds and it feels durable.

Heavenly chorus

By Brandon from Tennessee on July 20, 2023

Gotta love a good chorus pedal and this is the one. Great tone and affordable. Get it and you'll love it as much as I do!!

Great fuzz pedal

By Mario Wilson from CHICOPEE, MA on March 27, 2023

I really like this. It's got a really great sound that you can modify. It's also super cheap. Im not worried about breaking it but it is a plastic pedal. It's still solid though. Honestly if it did break I'd probably just buy another. This fuzz pedal with my delay pedal sound pretty sweet together. This is a no brainer purchase. I was ordering something else and saw this for $30 and just threw it in the cart. Happy I did.

Easy to use and fun to play with!

I love playing 80s tunes, and they're loaded with chorus. This little pedal here works perfectly for that and it adds a great tone modulation!

Updated Review - Sweetwater made it right

By J Kroger from Independence KY on January 3, 2023 Music Background: Experienced but not professional.

Hi.

I wrote a previous review stating I had received a defective product and no reply when I tried to exchange.

Sweetwater got back to me and they made it right.
The replacement arrived in about a day, I tested it. Works perfectly.

Tim at Sweetwater who helped me was kind. If you have an issues. Give them a chance. I believe they will make it right.

This chorus is turning into an ‘always-on’ pedal!

By Thomas Boudrot from Dedham, MA on July 27, 2022 Music Background: 50 year amateur.

I am amazed at the price of Behringer pedals given their high quality. I picked up this Ultra Chorus based on some videos. I've never had one but at this price you feel pretty good about experimenting! Now, it sits alongside my Cali76 compressor as my second 'always-on' pedal! Amazing! Between the Cali76 making everything bold and ring out, and a light touch on the chorus settings making it all shimmer, I sound better than I have a right to! Will not play without this pedal ever again. Try it!

Great sound at THIS price??

By Thomas Boudrot from Dedham, MA on July 20, 2022 Music Background: Guitar God (in my mind)

I'm making loops and this chorus takes chord progressions I like and making them music I love! Adds such depth to my inventions that I am starting to put tunes together with my son and his digital gear. You cannot go wrong at this price!! Amazing.

A perfect pedal

By Christopher Amos from Aledo, TX on June 3, 2022 Music Background: simi-pro, weekend gigger

I have had this Behringer Ultra chorus for a few a year and it is excellent. It ads zero noise to my pedal board - even on stage, and the settings are versatility. I am a bass player and was getting hum on some stages from my much more expensive chorus (probably from stage lighting) so I purchased this Beheranger and it is perfect addition to my pedal board.

Dead ringer for the BOSS Super Chorus at a guilt free price

By Dan R. on January 24, 2022 Music Background: gear nerd

The Good:

Pretty much identical circuit to the Boss Super Chorus with wonderful clean/tight musical tones. This pedal sounds great and the 4 knob control panel provides all the tweakability needed to coax whatever chorus sound you want out of it. Using both output A & B into a Hot Rod Deluxe and Vox AC15 is pure modulation heaven. It's $, and for the price of an entree at a middle of the road restaurant you have a real pedal with top notch sound

The Bad:

It's built like a $ pedal, and for $ less than the original its easy to understand the differences. Everything about the enclosure is a not too thick plastic which means that its almost certainly not going to last the test of time, especially if you are the kind of person that really STOMPS on your pedals. A BOSS is going to have a bulletproof enclosure and last forever. Also, Behringer provides a 3 year warranty versus the 5 from BOSS.

Final Thoughts:

I love this pedal's tone, and will have it on my at home board as long as it lasts. Now that I know how good the circuit is, if I do eventually breaking this pedal, then it will be time to upgrade to the BOSS Super Chorus build quality so I can have a pedal with significantly better longevity prospects.

Love Beringer pedals

By JZ from Bedford OH on January 7, 2022 Music Background: Intermediate to advanced with some professional experience

The Ultra Chorus is my 7th Beringer pedal and all have been very good (accept for a volume pedal that sounds staticy). Thanks to Beringer and Sweetwater keeping the price affordable, (really affordable!) I've been able to expand my sound far more than I could have.

The sound overall

By Hank Dysert from OH on April 1, 2021

It just sounds just right and it's got what I'm looking for.

The Perfect Addition To My Pedalboard

By BAMIL from West New York, New Jersey on May 25, 2020 Music Background: Award winning Singer-Songwriter, Arranger, Engineer and Producer

I hit the jackpot with this Behringer UC200 Ultra Chorus Pedal. I'd add it to my current pedalboard to expand the effects I was using 'til then and really is magic altogether. Specially when it set in different rates with the Chorus Ensemble and the Super Tube. It really add the perfect combination to my guitar music sessions, to my productions and to other artists I work with. Excellent, wonderful and great!!!

Great Chorus!

By Sweetwater Customer on April 25, 2017

Budget Friendly Chorus Pedal

By Scott Slape from Riverside, CA on June 8, 2022

If your foot isn't heavy and you aren't particular with needing extra frills and controls with chorus, this pedal gets the job done. Hard to beat at the price point as well.

Surprisingly better than I expected

By Kerry from HERCULANEUM, MO on January 24, 2022

I honestly didn't expect much from a rather inexpensive pedal that is then even further reduced in price and on sale, but I needed a replacement fast, and Sweetwater is fast, so... After dialing around slowly for a while I realized this thing actually has quite a range of sounds I could get out of it. I even ran an acoustic through it and liked quite a bit of what could be dialed in. I'm not a professional musician and I don't need a top of the line chorus pedal, I just want to add some flavor, that's all.

These Behringer pedals seem a bit bulky to me once they're mounted on the board. This chorus pedal does a good job for band rehearsal. Haven't gigged it yet but I will. At band volumes, it does a pretty good job in helping my clean/low gain rhythm guitar surround and blend in well with the others.

A nice chorus regardless of price considerations

By Ryan Clark from Fernandina Beach, FL on October 28, 2021

I am a sucker for chorus effect on guitar. This is likely due me growing up in the 80's when chorus was king. Anyways... I primarily play with direct in tools now (POD GO and Iridium) but wanted to put together a simple little board around a couple of my keeper pedals into a 1 watt Wangs VT-1H, for jamming at the house. I purposely left room for chorus and after having good experiences with several Behringer pedals, I gave the UC200 a chance. I am glad I did! The pedal sounds great! In fact, most guitarists hearing it would believe it was a $100+ pedal. Clean - no noise. Not quite lush enough (-1/2 star) however, it is more than capable of providing usable, smooth and subtle chorus effect. Yes, the plastic casing feels cheap but as long as you don't run over it with your car it will be fine I'm sure

Loads of fun!

By Michael Smith from GA on October 9, 2021 Music Background: 22 years guitar and bass. Ten years home recording.

This chorus has a brighter tone than most I've played with, but I like that. If you want something darker sounding go with a boss. The chorus itself has a wide range and does great sounds from thickened tones to wacky wobbles and tremolo like effects! Honestly for $25 bucks it's a great addition to my home studio and I will be using it on a project in the future!

It Works!

By Trevor on December 15, 2020 Music Background: Hobby Player

The pedal does exactly what it needs to do and sounds good doing. It has a very lovely effect with a higher depth and slower rate. The case looks like it will hold up nicely as long as it isn't abused. Overall I'm very satisfied with the little underdog pedal.

Surprisingly Very Good

By Bart H from Hermosa Beach on June 9, 2019

Well if you like the sound of what this pedal was basically cloned from... then you"ll have zero issues liking the way this pedal sounds. Like everyone one else has mentioned the case/housing of this pedal is plastic, so if you got a heavy foot when stomping this bad boy the build quality could be an issue for long term ownership ship. ...very very hard to beat sonically. Does exactly what a chorus should do!

Nick Dutiel is my Sweetwater vision quest guide for gear. A truly awesome sales engineer to work with. I am a life long customer of Sweetwater now!

Chorus in spades

By Lloyd from Morganton< NC on June 13, 2017 Music Background: Former musician getting back into it after a long time away

Pedal produces great chorus effects and helps to create a distinctive sound that is just what I was looking for without breaking the bank. This pedal delivers results that far exceeded my expectations given the bargain price. Highly recommended.

Look past the negative hype...

By Jazzer John from Arkansas on March 30, 2017 Music Background: Retired pro of 50 years playing

The only reason I'm not giving this box a "5" is because--yes--the housing IS plastic. Let's get that out of the way up front...unless you jump on your pedals from the top of your amp, there is no durability concern here. It's HEAVY DUTY, thick plastic...more durable than several Arion pedals I've used for years. In fact, this UC200 has replaced my cherished Arion Stereo Chorus pedal that was "cheap" when I bought it 20 years ago, and lasted until recently (some electronic component in it is fatiguing...it's OK when "cold," but after it's been powered up for a couple of hours, it gets a "howl" going through the amp, which is totally NOT acceptable). Enter its replacement...another "cheap" chorus pedal with the Behringer label this time (just check out the now HIGH prices people are paying for the USED Arion chorus pedals these days on eBay!).

I opened the box, plugged it into my board where the Arion used to be, and powered up the rig. At first I was less than impressed since it didn't just jump out at me. But after I bothered to read the instructions for it, I figured out how to tweak the knobs and VOILA! Good sounding chorus! I like this pedal better than the Arion if only for the reason that when you'd hit the Arion, it would increase the signal (and hence, volume) to the amp, which caused some bothersome volume knob twisting on the guitar while trying to create a genius-level solo. THIS Behringer doesn't do that...the signal stays the same level whether it's on or off. The amount of effect is controlled by the "level" pot, which is very handy so you can mix what amount of effect you want into the raw signal without coloring it. The pots are fairly stiff turning, which I like because if you accidentally brush them with your foot when turning the box on, they don't rotate easily out of your settings. I've been using Behringer stuff in my equipment mix for years, and I've yet to have one fail me. Chinese? Yup. But they're WAY better at building stuff than they were a few years ago. So don't let the nay-sayers on this unit stop you from getting one. I mean, you can pay $ for a fancy unit--and they certainly are nice, but if you just want the sound and not the prestige of a boutique effect, you really can't go wrong with this little gem, IMHO.

Does what I want!

By Davis from Soquel CA on August 31, 2016 Music Background: Olde Blues Dog!

I bought this at the same time I bought the analog delay. $50 for two pedals was a great deal being as $$$ is tight right now. I didn't even know that I liked chorus until I got this small practice amp that had it on board and found myself using it.in a VERY conservative manner. So slight that most folks cant even tell it was on. That said, when I plugged into my Fender Blues Deluxe, my main go to amp, I noticed something missing. Chorus...ever so little, but still not there. Enter the UC200! It did a great job of filling the minute gap that was missing, at so small a price. I would not however recommend it to the artist who relies heavily on the various chorus sounds that the more expensive pedals provide. I will in the future replace this with an analog chorus, but for now, this gets me by. Great job Behringer, an GREAT job Sweetwater at providing multiple solutions at prices that do not hurt. And in closing I have to say that Sweetwater folks are the friendliest, most courteous, and fair shop out there. I will shop no other place unless they simply do not have what I need. As long as the C.S. stays the way it is, they have a customer for life.

I Love The Sounds That This Pedal Produces

By Robert Posner from Georgia on February 9, 2023 Music Background: Playing music for 63 years.

I've been using this pedal for a month and I love how it sounds. It's easy to use, easy to program, and it easily fits on my pedal board. I have found only 2 cons. Number 1 is that like most other pedals, it goes through batteries quickly if you don't plug it in. Mine did not come with a plug, but I have ordered on and I will use it all the time. Number 2 is that changing the battery is not too easy as you have to push the hinge pin in from both sides at the same time, which is a bit difficult, but that problem will be solved once I get my plug. Overall, I love my UC200.

Not the best but very good

By Imran Khan from Denver, CO on April 7, 2022

It does the job well and provides a solid chorus effect.

Yellow mellow!

By pete Kohlndorfer on February 7, 2022

It's a Boss clone for next to nothing. Sounds wonderful, easy to set up, and if it breaks (no biggie)!

Sounds really good!

This sounds good and the stereo actually works well!
Perfect for home recording or playing with stereo amps. Gage was great to work with!

Ultra Chorus UC200

By Bones Malone on March 19, 2020

This is a follow up to a less than stellar review I initially gave the UC200. When I first tried it out, it was the mono setting through one amp. As I mentioned in my first review, the effect was rather one dimensional and not that strong.

I then hooked up the UC200 to two amps (stereo) and VIOLA! Gobs of groovy chorus! To get the most out of this pedal, you must hook it up in stereo to get its true capability. With two amps, I'm sold on this little inexpensive chorus!

A good cheap chorus

By Dilan Schaffer from thornhurst, PA on August 24, 2023

I really like this pedal, I would use it all the time if it would work with my AC adapter, but other than that it is work the $ just make sure. It works with your power supply

uc200

By kevin brooks from exeter, NH on December 14, 2017 Music Background: 20 year guitar player

I know this pedal sounds good but man I cannot say enough how I hate plastic pedals ! i'd pay another 10 or even 20 dollars more for a metal case. but they are cheap and sound decent. I have always had boss chorus pedals before ,and you can't break em' .

Limited Uses

By Ken O from Texas on July 12, 2016

I have bought several of these newer Behringer pedals, to A/B with my name brand units, and to set up an inexpensive pedal board. This is the weakest of them all, although it does have some mojo in certain uses. Added some chorus to a bass rig, fit the bill of basic bass chorus...nothing great. Added some stereo chorus to 2 clean amps, that was the best. Too muddy and limited to use as a guitar chorus, though. Tone switch did nothing. The level switch just adds effect, not volume, and it works well in that aspect.

Nice little unit in a pinch.

By Ohiofan1989 from Athens, Ohio on August 19, 2015 Music Background: Semi-Professional

I purchased this for my mini pedal board simply because I needed a chorus to use on a few songs at smaller venues. I wasn't expecting much, but this will definitely get you by in a pinch for a very low price. What I like; While you don't get a wide range of chorus sounds from this pedal, what you do get does sound acceptable. As well, the "level" control was designed only to accentuate the amount of chorus you want coming through your system and does not increase the gain or the volume. (I have two boutique chorus pedals for my larger rig and they both add gain/volume when engaging it.) I hate that. What I don't like; The limited sounds that the pedal produces and the tone control which does not do much of anything.

Bottom Line: When buying one of these you are not wasting your money. As well, the plastic case is very durable and will not break during a show.

Disappointing, but bearable for the price

By Sweetwater Customer on June 21, 2022

it does what it says, and it does it decently well, I would say where this pedal lacks is that its definitely noisy and I can't record with it cause it very noticeably loses quality after passing through. I normally don't have this issue with Behringer and maybe I got a bad once, but I would say that id put a little more money in for another semi-cheap chorus that get this one.

Good pedal for the $

A really nice pedal, good effects, low noise, and inexpensive. Well worth the money.

Berringer Ultra chorus uc 200

Worked for awhile. Started to hum through the amp and finally failed altogether. May contact dealer but for the money may not.

Lacking.

By Bobby Maxwell from Arizona on August 9, 2022 Music Background: Lifelong Amateur

Sad, I kept fiddling with knobs hoping to attain my ideal sound: the sound of my Electro Harmonix Clone Theory! I was hoping to buy a cheap backup but I guess my Clone Theory has spoiled me for anything less! If possible, I will return this and get the Joyo Classic Chorus. This, or the Electro Harmonix Small Clone (which the Joyo is itself a clone of-BTW) would be my advice to the average punter.

Beginners pedal only...

By Sweetwater Customer on September 22, 2020

This was a low-cost approach to put a stereo chorus into my first pedal rig. For this reason, it's still an appreciated pedal in my mind. However, I ran it stereo into my Orange Rocker32 Stereo FX loop and found that the stereo option doesn't work, or seems to cancel itself out. When activated, the pedal also drops the volume output significantly. So, I switched to the front of the amp and ran it in Mono config to get the chorus effect. It worked better and didn't pull the volume down as bad, but the biggest annoyance I found is that the rate tempo can be heard even when the pedal is turned off. I got what I paid for and I'm looking to upgrade to a better quality Chorus pedal.

UC200 Ultra Chorus Pedal

By Sweetwater Customer on February 25, 2020

A very watered down chorus effect. Tone adjustment is negligible, depth is very limited. A one dimensional chorus wannabe.

Clicking can be heard when in bypass

By JTD from Hillsborough, NC on July 11, 2022

When I put it in front of my tube screamer on the pedal board it added a very obvious clicking noise to the signal even when it was off. I could adjust the rate of the clicking with the rate control so I know it was the pedal. It's probably fine if you'll always keep it after any boost/OD'distortion pedals on your board, although I can't comment on whether it's audible when the amp gain is up. It wasn't a subtle clicking so I decided it was unusable and returned it.

Breaks Fast- Not sturdy

By Leland Karlton from LOS ANGELES, CA on March 8, 2023

Sounds good but quickly broke internally. These Behringer pedals are made cheap and not durable or consistent. Not really worth the savings (comparably with a Boss pedal) if what you get breaks.

Tried 2 of these - both defective

By Just George from NJ on September 26, 2022

Wife ordered me one of these as a birthday gift. OUT B had no chorus effect. Wrote Musictribe and they verified it was defective. Returned it and got another one. SAME PROBLEM! A quick internet search will show that this is a common issue.

As for the channel that did work, output was less than unity on both pedals with all knobs cranked. Rate and depth have no real effect until they are 3/4 of the way up.

Save your money and put it toward something worth having.

Stopped working

By Carlos Garcia from LOS ANGELES, CA on April 9, 2022

The pedal has stopped working after a month and I had not dropped it at all

Ruins your pedaloard because it can't plug in the top like EVERY OTHER PEDAL

By Sweetwater Customer on November 11, 2020

These pedals blow. The pedal itself wouldn't be so bad, but it totally messed up my pedalboard because the Daisy chain must plug in the side. Do they realize how much room they're costing you with this ridiculous design? The first one I ordered worked for literally 10 minutes before going completely out after adjusting the tone knob.
