Put UAD-powered Plug-ins to Work in Your DAW

Supercharge your music-production system with a Universal Audio UAD-2 QUAD Custom system. Loaded with four Analog Devices SHARC chips, this UAD-2 QUAD PCIe card gives you the awesome DSP power you need to take a load off your CPU. What's more, this system lets you pick out any three UAD-powered plug-ins in addition to the complete Analog Classics Plus collection, so you're ready to take full advantage of your Universal Audio UAD-2 QUAD Custom PCIe card, right out of the box.

Experience the power of SHARC chip technology

Universal Audio's UAD-2 cards take advantage of state-of-the-art DSP technology, adding serious horsepower to your music-production system. Each of the four SHARC chips onboard boasts 32-bit floating-point architecture, for the ultimate in precision and performance. When put to the test, the power potential of even a single UAD-2 system is more than impressive. Better still, you can mix and match up to four UAD-2 PCIe cards or Satellites, allowing you to meet the processing needs of even the most demanding sessions.

Flexible operation modes for tracking and mixing

Using UAD-2 QUAD's LiveTrack mode, you can reduce latency on active UAD-2 plug-ins to the lowest amount possible. That's just what you need for monitoring processed audio during the live tracking stages. On the mixing side, Universal Audio gave the UAD-2 QUAD a handy LoadLock feature. This useful tool lets you automatically reserve the maximum DSP load that each of your active UAD-2 plug-ins could ever demand, so you'll be certain you have enough DSP to engage features, such as writing automation, later.

Custom bundle lets you load up on UAD-powered plug-ins

Have it your way — with the UAD-2 Satellite QUAD Custom system, you get your pick of any three UAD-powered plug-ins on the market. That's right. You just go to the UAD Store (the same place you can pick up additional plug-ins a la carte), pick out any three plug-ins you like, and you're all set. On top of that, the UAD-2 Satellite QUAD Custom system also includes the Universal Audio Analog Classics Plus collection of five amazing UAD-powered plug-ins, which includes such classic processors as the UA LA-2A audio leveler Pultec EQP-1A program EQ, and RealVerb Pro room modeler.

What an amazing solution

I was initially looking at a more complicated external processing solution because I was not aware of UA's offering. Thankfully my Sweetwater engineer, Brandon, told me about the UAD-2 and I could not be happier. I already have a Sweetwater Creation Station, so installation into one of the computer's available card slots was super easy. The software installation and licensing/registration all went off without a hitch too. Works seamlessly with my DAW (Live 9). I have used some great plug ins from other vendors, and still do at times, but there is something uniquely special about these UA models. The included plug ins and the ones I was able to select as part of the Custom package (a good savings by the way) have all been sonically outstanding. I love UA's monitoring utility which let's you know at a glance exactly how much capacity you have remaining on the card. So far I haven't even come close to maxing it out. I would call the genre I work most in modern popular Christian music. This is an absolutely fantastic solution when you want to save processing power on your PC and desire the highest quality plug ins available.

Thanks for talking me into this one! Tony!

On plugins this device is amazing. It basically works like a computer within your computer. It operates on it's own and your computer will not get taxed when it comes to running plugins. Also the classic plugin bundle included is really all you ever need, but the extra 3 plugins is awesome. I got the Ampex, Studer and Lexicon 224, which comes out to be another $1,000 for free! Thanks TOday Dayton at Sweetwater... you're the best Rep, a dude who cares about his customers, and knows how to suite their needs!

Amazing device

This is an amazing device and well worth the money if you're trying to produce professional sounding results. Love the Pultec's and the EMT reverbs. The Echoplex has same dark sound I remember and is a wonderful emulation. Still working with the different plugs but so far just amazing.
