Great Upgrade

I just replaced my stock Fender Champion 40 speaker with the Texas Heat and now it sounds like a much more expensive amp. Immediately the tone is much cleaner, the notes are more defined, and it has more headroom. It took about 5 minutes to make the change. The only problem is that one of the clips on the amps speaker wire is too small and doesn't slip over the attachment on the speaker. I'm making do just using the plastic heat shrink on the end of the clip. My guitars are a 1969 Les Paul Custom and a 2014 G &L Bluesboy P90.Amazingly, it some ways it even sounds better than my Blues Jr III with a new cannabis rex speaker.

Bought this to replace the stock speaker in my Peavey Valve King 50 and couldn't be any happier. The original speaker was voiced for a more vintage sound which was fine but I needed a bit more bite and the Texas Heat provided it.

Great speakers, with amazing tone. I put a pair in a 2x12 cab and it brought it to life. Love the warmth and beef they put out, and they are plenty loud as well.

texas heat

very nice a nice clear sound with some punch at low end volume cranked up still clear with a little more bite
Music background: Hobbyist

I put two of these into my solid-state Fender FM-212 because the stock speakers were like nails across a chalk board to my ears. No matter what I did with my tone controls, I couldn't get them to lose that high end harshness without killing some midrange and bass. The Texas Heats made the top end clear without being screechy, eliminated that harshness, and added nice clear midrange and excellent bottom end. Plenty of power handling too. Still wanting a little more low end, I put a piece of particle board on the back of the amp to close it up and that FM-212 became a tone machine! A tube preamp on the effects loop completed an awesome sound. I'm putting these Texas Heats in all my other cabs and extensions.
Music background: 35+ years playing. Lead and Rhythm guitarist in a contemporary worship band.
