Great Telecaster at a great price

This is the first Telecaster I've ever bought and yeah I'm pretty blown away by it. I pushed the guitar through a regular Fender Blues amp and through all three amp modules in my Mesa Boogie Mark V. In each of these amps the guitar held up perfectly. I normally don't stick with the pickups from Fender (I have a very sweet Strat too!) but in this case I think I'll stick withthe original setup. The guitar sounds very cool in each of the settings I tried with it (and I'm far from finished) and the pickups lived up to the Fender name in this case. Of course, my "sales engineer" made the whole buying experience a lot of fun, made me a great deal on this guitar and I actually enjoyed the purchase experience. A good sense of humor goes a long way. I'm never going elsewhere for my gear but Sweetwater. It's worth it, in every sense and every penny.

    Amazing Guitar

I was looking for a Telecaster to use regularly and not just sit in the studio. The Deluxe was just too flashy and I was thinking of getting an American Standard until I saw these at Sweetwater. Got to pick the one I wanted, got an amazing deal, and the guys at Sweetwater's customer service that is state of the art. Five days later a beautiful custom Tele at my door, great deal and fianancing. Took a little setup but plays like butter. Add a little tube goodness, compressor,.... I am in Heaven! Pictures don't do it justice, neck amazing, finish amazing. I've been playing over 40 years, I just can't stop playing it.

    Fender Select Telecaster (Violin Burst)

It's taken Fender so long to build an instrument of this quality in the normal price range of a standard production version guitar; why?
Add $500.00 or so to the price of a Strat or Tele for superior wood and I'll gladly pay it but, I'll never spend $5,000.00 or more for a custom shop version just to get a flamed or birds eye neck.
it's with every penny to own this guitar, very precise build quality, and gorgeous wood. I just hope Fender will continue in this vein with more to come.

    Tele worth owning

This guitar is everything that Fender says it is. The only reason I gave it a 4.5 was a slight paint blemish on the body binding. I really love the feel of this guitar and it has a great neck that is easy to play. Nice pickups that give me the Tele single coil sounds that I want. This guitar has a permanent place in my guitar family! Finally, the Sweetwater crew as always made it as enjoyable as possible to purchase this guitar so thanks to you all.
