A fire-breathing Tele with Duncan Humbuckers!

Bring big humbucking tones to your rig with the Fender Custom Telecaster FMT HH. The Telecaster has been a classic since the 1950s, and the design has changed very little since. There have been different incarnations of the Tele, but at the heart of it, a Tele's a Tele, until now. With the Custom Telecaster FMT HH, the Telecaster grows claws. The combination of the mahogany body, flame maple top, and Seymour Duncan Pearly Gates Plus and '59 Reverse Polarity humbuckers at the bridge and neck respectively create a fat tone with tons of bite, perfect for anything from screaming blues licks to heavy modern rock.

Mahogany Body and Flame Maple Top

It's no big secret that mahogany is a great tone wood, producing a nice, warm, woody tone. And it's not news that using a Flame Maple Tops add a bit of bite to your tone. Together, these two woods produce a chunky, fat tone that will cut through any mix.

Seymour Duncan Humbuckers

The aforementioned natural tone of the Custom Telecaster FMT HH is amplified by a pair of Seymour Duncan Humbuckers (that's what the "HH" stands for). At the bridge you've got a Pearly Gates Plus, with a bright top end and harmonics "that jump out of the guitar." The neck position is fitted with a SH-1 '59 with slightly scooped mids for thick rhythm tones. A push/pull coil tap is installed on the Tone control.

Custom Features

The Custom Tele FMT is adorned with many touches that are normally only done for custom-built instruments. This Tele has cream-colored top body binding and a matching painted headstock. The position dot inlays on the fingerboard are oversized Abalone, and a Graphite nut is situated at the end of the fingerboard.

Sweet!!!

I bought one of these bad boys about 5 or 6 years ago and it's been in my guitar arsenal ever since! The Seymour Duncan Pearly Gates pickups are the key to it's amazing sound and the split pickup function is just frosting on the cake. It also has a contoured body and a bound neck which makes it very comfortable. Late but not least is the look of the thing, It's absolutely beautiful! I've gotten a lot of complements on this guitar. In my arsenal of guitars I use on a regular basis are Gibson Les Pauls & SG's, Fender American Strat's & Tele's, and a Hamer. You can spend a LOT more money on a guitar, but you won't get a better guitar than this one!

Quality at its finest !!!!

Bought mine at first glance !! It's beauty caught my eye and once I picked it up , straight to the counter I went . Got it home plugged it in and completely blew my mind !!! Fender by far the best beast you have built yet ! I have about 15 guitars from Gibson Les Pauls , Fender MIA , Fender MIM , Strats and Teles and Jazzmaster , and nothing I have has the feel and sound that this baby does , you can literally play anything on it !!! Honestly the 699.00 price tag is literally a Steal !!! Buy em now before they go up into the 1000's because I'm telling you now that I know what this machine is capable of I would still drop the money for another one if the price did go way up !!! Thank you Fender !!!

Very nice guitar for any price. The $699 price tag made it even nicer.

Very Near Perfect

Out of the box she is ready to go, strings aren't the best but that's easy to change. But the tone from this beauty is overwhelming. I have 3 Telecasters and this is the best by far. I don't believe this animal can be caged into one specific genre, it goes from sweet, soft, melodic to screaming Banshee in a heart beat. I don't care how much you pay I honestly don't believe you can find a finer feeling, finer playing, or finer looking guitar. Once you pick it up it is almost impossible to put down. This is one sweet ride. I have 20 guitars from Gibson to Fender, active to passive, single coil to humbucker, and this one can out perform any of them. Extremely well built. Guarantee, once you you hold, you won't let it go.

Veratile Well Made Beauty

Impressive! I've owned other Fenders in the past, including American made ones, but this is by far the best made, near perfect out of the box one I have owned. Fit and finish is super. Others I have had were really rough by comparison and was sort of my hesitation initially to buy another. Could not be more pleased. Fret ends are smooth, binding outstanding, and OMG - you cannot believe the beauty of the wood grain top. Pictures do it little justice. And the setup done by Sweetwater was just superb - nice job guys. I have a Tele semi-hollow body I really like, but the slim shape and styling make this very comfortable to play - very light weight. Being able to switch between humbucker and single coil is the icing on the cake with this little wonder making it very versatile for any playing style. Only downside was I didn't care for the strings that came on it - junk in my book, but changed them out for my preferred Exilir's and I am good to go. Cannot imagine anyone could go wrong picking up one of these - great choice!
