    The Classic Electric Guitar

Been playing live over 50 years. I love "classic" guitars. I own 3 different Fender guitars. All are great guitars. If you are looking for THE classic guitar, this is it ! You will love the rosewood finger board. Frets are perfect for this guitar. Neck is easy to adjust. Guitar is very "balanced," well built, very solid but not too heavy. Pick-ups easy to adjust for both height and tone.
I have used my Telecaster for over 40 years, and it is still as good as the day I bought it !
If you are wondering, I say GO FOR IT ! This is a great guitar !

Fender American Standard Telecaster - Black, Rosewood

This is an outstanding guitar. I have been playing Fenders since 1965 and this present model exhibits excellent quality control while blending vintage styling and modern upgrades.
The Strat style bridge and neck tilt adjustment allow for a detailed setup to achieve desired intonation and string height.
Although not typical for a Tele, I like the Strat style belly cut - very comfortable.
The rosewood fingerboard is a rich, dark color and body finish is flawless.
Best of all are the pickups. Both the Twisted Tele neck and Broadcaster bridge are very useable in all three positions.
Hard shell case is a well made classic. Sweetwater's service is top shelf.
    It's a players guitar and a keeper!

    2012 American Standard Telecaster

This is the best version of a modern Telecaster that I've played. The playability is top notch and the range of tones that the Custom Shop pickups give this guitar great versatility. The Twited Tele pickup (lipstick) is somewhat Strat like in tone and volume. The Broadcaster pickup (bridge) can really deliver crunch or "bite". The cutaway on the back is a nice new addition. Guitar models can come and go, but the Tele has been around since before most of us were born and will continue to be here after we're gone because it's just a great guitar that can really be used for all styles of music. Once you've picked one up they're very hard to put down.

    Great guitar

First off it takes a great deal to score a five but would guess others will easily score it a five.

Took the guitar out of the box, plugged it into a Marshall G30 (lower end transistor amp), if it sound good on this amp just wait and it sounded excellent. Next a Marshall JVM series 50w amp, no surprises, got the sounds I was looking for. Next up ran the guitar thru a Mesa Boogie and Orange amps on clean channels (did dirty on the Marshalls) and again got the sounds/tones I expected from a Telecaster. Thanks to John Ptak for making this purchase super easy.
