Turbosound TSP122-AN 2500W 12 inch Powered Speaker Reviews

2,500W, 2-way Powered Speaker with 12" Low-frequency Driver, 1" High-frequency Compression Driver, DSP, and Ultranet Networking (each)

Well suited for both speech and music, this versatile Turbosound Siena TSP122-AN powered speaker's 12" low-frequency driver handles bass like a champ, and its 1" titanium-dome compression driver delivers phenomenal extended high end. You can use a Siena TSP122-AN with or without its control software, so it's easy to operate whether you're using it for front of house or as a sidefill and delay line speaker. You can even turn it on its side for instant wedge monitoring! On top of that, Ultranet digital audio networking makes the Siena TSP122-AN compatible with a wide variety of Sweetwater's massive selection of mixers. The Turbosound Siena TSP122-AN powered speaker is top-shelf all the way!

Definitely a strong contender

I was hesitant at first since there are many great options out there for the price from JBL, QSC, Yamaha, etc., but the specs and Ultranet option looked almost too good to be true. Unfortunately two of the units I ordered arrived with issues, but my sales rep and the rest of the Sweetwater team took care of the problems immediately. I've had these for 3 months now and can't be happier. Great clarity, lots of power, and lots of great features (EQ, feedback reduction, crossover, Ultranet). These are great for anyone, but especially if you have an X32 or M32. One ethernet cable chained between your wedges verses individual xlr lines makes for quicker setup and a cleaner stage.

Only downsides in my book are no mic/line option (just line level), so you can't use it standalone with a mic without a mixer, as well as the weight compared to other 12" boxes in this class.

Wow!

Just ran 2 of these and the matching sub (TSP118B-AN) for my second small outdoor festival of the year. Major upgrade from the K10s I was using. These are incredibly smooth with very little eq needed aside from the "live" setting.

I'm blown away by how great they sounded and how far they throw the sound without blaring the front row. The dispersion is a narrow 70 degrees but will easily cover a 50 foot by 100 foot area with moderate (95-100 db estimated) with the single sub delivering chest pounding bass out to about 100 ft.
The vendors at the the far end of the festival actually complained about it being too loud and they were over 175 feet plus away.
I run an x32 core with the Midas DL16 and use Ultranet to connect the speakers to the mixer.

At both events I was hired for the following year within hours of the first day, because it sounded so good.

My only complaint is that the finish scuffs easily.
